ARelay Race
It is a tradition of our school to hold a sports meeting every October. I was lucky this year to be
chosen to represent our class in the relay race, which is the most important match.
We practised very hard every day hoping to win the biggest honor for our class. The match took
place last afternoon. Each of us tried our best and we were the first to reach the finishing line. We
finally won the match.
I know we made it with important team spirit.

4．评分时还应注意：
（1）词数少于 60 或多于 100的，从总分中减去 2 分。
（2）单词拼写和标点符号是写作规范的重要方面，评分时应视其对交际的影响程度予以考
虑。英、美拼写和词汇用法均可接受。
（3）书写较差以至影响交际的，将分数降低一个档次。

二、各档次的给分范围和要求
第五档：（13-15 分）能写明全部要点；语言基本无误；行文连贯，表达清楚；
第四档：（10-12 分）能写明全部或绝大部分要点；语言有少量错误；行文不够连贯，表达基
本清楚；
第三档：（7-9 分）能写明基本要点；语言虽有较多错误，但基本达意；
第二档：（4-6 分）能写出部分要点；语言错误多，影响意思表达；
第一档：（1-3 分）只能写出一两个要点；语言错误很多，只有个别句子正确。
第二节 读后续写（满分 25分）
I was about to run away when my teacher came up tome. He joked I fell due to my eagerness to
bow to the audience. His humor helped remove the embarrassment. Then he motivated the audience
to give me encouragement. Feeling less nervous, I took the microphone and cleared my voice before
reading the title. Surprisingly, my voice sounded clear and loud. The hall silenced. I continued
reading, with words coming out in the right order and lines flowing together appropriately.
When I finished my reading, the hall was silent at first. I swallowed hard. Maybe no one loved my
poem. Then out of the silence there was clapping and cheering. I dared to look for my parents in the sea of
faces, and found my mother wiping away tears and my father smiling. With a light-headed feeling and a
happy smile, I bowed slightly and walked off the stage. I greeted each person I met when going back to my
seat, with relief and gratefulness spreadingwarmly throughmy body.

W: I already told you that I’m saving up for an SUV. I need something big to carry around all of my

that most of you are either unemployed or are looking for an alternative job. Obviously, looking
around the room, you have realized that you’re not alone in this struggle. I am here today to give you
some tips on how to enter the process of finding your dream job. The first thing I will tell you is that
you will need to update your work history. You want this to be short, yet very informative. You do
not need to write your life story or opinion on your experience. Next, you will write something
called a “cover letter”. The cover letter is your introduction to the company you are applying for.
This will be the first thing the company will read about you. You should include specifics on why
this job would be right for you. If possible, you should include any awards that you have been given.
When I am given an application to look at, I look for these awards. I feel like they make potential
employees stand out. The company I work for also enjoys hiring those who are willing to go through
basic training before they are hired. Though this is unpaid training, it is worth mentioning that you
are willing to do it if necessary. Using these tools will make your goals of achieving specialized and
advanced positions much easier to get.
