前备知识
预习教材P91-92词汇;通过网络,初步了解John Snow和cholera相关背景信息;复习Women of achievements 和Working the land两个单元中关于科学家贡献和品质的描述。

Step 2 Prediction

Step 3 Reading
Activity 1: Read for steps of carrying out a scientific research
Read the text carefully, find the answers to the questions of each paragraph and match the steps of carrying out a scientific research with each paragraph. Prepare to share your answers(DO2)

Task 1: Be a Holmes and help find the “killer”
Write down the steps of how you will find the “killer”-- the cause of the problem, with your classmates. Prepare to give the report in the class(PO2)
