I love fall(秋天)! We will celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival this week. ln the lunar calendar,
it's on August 15. The moon is round and bright. We will watch the moon that night
and look for Chang ‘e . When I was a little boy, my grandma told me the story of
Chang 'e. ln the story, a beautiful lady named Chang 'e lives on the moon. We will
eat moon cakes and fruit during(在……期间)the festival. They‘re delicious(美味的)!
National Day(国庆节)is also in autumn(秋天). It's on October l. We will have a seven-day
holiday! We will do many things together. I like going to the National Day
celebration.
The best thing about autumn, however, is my birthday. I will be thirteen years old
this year !

also have a holiday in autumn——Thanksgiving. Families
always celebrate Thanksgiving together . I will go to my
grandparents’ home. All of my uncles, aunts and cousins will
be there, too. We will have a big dinner !
The Canadian Thanksgiving is on the second Monday of
October. In the U.S. they celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth

at ：后接具体的时间点或moon、midnight（午夜）、down（黎明）。
助记口诀：
①in年in月in四季, on加具体某一天, at要加时间点，早午晚上要用in。
② in>1天 on=1天 at<1天
2. It’s on October 1.
on作介词，可用在具体的某一天前。
① in年in月in四季 in>1天
Eg: in the evening 在晚上 in May在五月
②on加具体某一天 on=1天
Eg: on May 1 在五月一日
on Monday evening在周一傍晚
③ at要加时间点。 at<1天
Eg: at six在六点 at noon在中午 at night在晚上

watch：意为“观看，观察，观赏”，通常指有目的地、集中注意力地观看

look：是不及物动词，意为“看，瞧”，强调看的动作，不强调结果。
若其后接宾语，要先接at。

Seven-day 是复合形容词，意为“七天的”
复合形容词：由两个及以上单词构成，每个单词直接用连接符连接，
名词用单数。
Eg: ten-year-old 十岁的
two-week 两周的
6.The best thing about autumn, however, is my birthday.
然而，秋天里最好的事情是我的生日。
辨析：however、but
however 副词，意为“然而，不过”，可放于句首、句中、句尾，要用逗号隔开。
but 连词，意为“但是”，可放于句首或句中，无需用逗号隔开。

have fun 玩的开心，玩的愉快。
相当于have a good time、enjoy oneself.
其中fun前可以有much、a lot of、lots of等词修饰。
have fun doing sth.意为“做某事很愉快”。

wonder作动词时，意为“想知道”，=want to know……
①后接who、what、when等引导的宾语从句
eg: I wonder who he is.
②后接if/weather，意为“想知道是否……”
eg: I wonder if you are a good student.
③wonder at sth. 对某事感到惊异或疑惑
相当于be surprised at sth.
