2．目标确立
（1）教材分析。
本单元以How do you get to school 为中心话题，围绕“traffic way”展开。主要是在学习和运用某种交通工具去某地表达法的基础上，运用How do you get to school 和How long does it take 询问如何到达某地，描述“去某地的交通方式、时间”。其教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关，易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流，这对于提高学生的综合能力，特别是实际表达能力很有帮助。为了让学生正确表达到达某地、距离、时速，进一步熟练掌握一般现在时的用法，可以引导学生通过描述路线、补充、联想与交通相关的词汇、利用各种车的图片及交通工具的模型等资源来扩展教学任务活动：扩大学生的思维、文化视野；教学重点是对乘坐交通方式和所花费时间进行提问和描述，教学难点是交通方式的动词描述（take a bus）和介词描述(by bus)。
（2）学情分析。本课的教学对象是初二年级学生，初二年级的学生经过一年多的英语学习，有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力，正逐渐向读、写过渡，随着英语学习的逐层深入，学生的语言基础已开始参次不齐，多半学生好奇心强，对英语很是感兴趣，但成绩有很大的不稳定性，少数低起点学生，对英语尚缺乏一定的听、阅读理解能力。为让不同层次的学生都能找到成就感，计划采用循序渐进的分层次教学方法，即：分层制定学习目标；采用综合素质发展的评价，科学划分学习小组，每组中设置一名英语优秀生，实施“兵教兵”教学策略。让学生在小组合作学习中，互相帮助，共同提高；对水平稍差者要适当给予鼓励和肯定，提高其兴趣，引导其积极参与的意识，逐步提高其水平。

然后让学生运用第一张所有的交通工具进行问答，操练所有交通方式。（简单区别动词”take”与介词”by”在交通方面的用法。）
再用其他人称问答：How does he/she get to school He rides the bike.注意但三人称的形式。
然后再用第一张所有的交通工具，运用其他人称进行问答，操练各种人称的交通方式。
4.Guessing game:
根据画面，猜测各种出行方式，让学生对刚才的句型进行反复操练，以加深印象。
设计意图：首先以形象生动的画面呈现新内容，提高学生的兴趣，引出各种交通工具和出行方式，并加以阅读训练，为下一步操练句型做准备,然后幻灯出示句型，明确本课的教学目的，再让学生根据图片运用各种人称反复操练新手句型，最后设置guessing game来对所学句型进一步操练巩固，使之熟练。
三、任务驱动，自主探究
呈现任务：Guess “How long does it take ”
学生根据钟表猜测“How long does it take to get to school ”, 引出表达时长的数字，然后根据运用下一张图片练习数字的表达方式，完成2b。
出示一组带有起始时间的出行方式，让学生运用不同人称问答：

设计意图：通过钟表引出时长的数字表达方式，然后通过反复操练数字和完成2B，让学生熟练表达时长，为下一步操练“How long does it take？”做准备。然后学生根据一组起始时间，运用不同人才反复问答，进一步操练本节句型。

提出活动内容，指导学生分工扮演角色，进行采访和汇报。

五、设置游戏，寓教于乐：
以小组为单位，假设两名游客要到某地去旅游，在讨论那种交通方式最适合乘坐，A、B生扮演游客，正在讨论去某地旅游，不知道乘坐那种交通工具，C、D生扮演交通工具或司机，通过阐述自己的优点，来吸引游客乘坐自己的交通工具。
通过学生游戏，在游戏中反复操练How do you get to… / I get to … by …/I take a bus to …/ How long does it take you to … / It takes you … to …等句型，让学生在快乐中学习，在学习中体验快乐和知识的实用价值。
