Unit 2 This is my sister.
Section B Period 2 (2a-3b)
Good morning dear judges, I’m No. 1. It’s my great honor to stand here to share my teaching plan with you. Today my topic is Unit 2 this is my sister. And I divide it into 7 parts. I will say them one by one.
First, let’s look at the teaching material. My lesson is chosen from PEP English book, the first semester of grade Seven, the reading part. It mainly talks about the family. After this class, students will be able to introduce people and identify people.
Then, my students. Students of grade seven have learnt English for five years and master some English words. However, Junior school students fear of speaking English and communicate with others. I will emphasize language use and communication in my class through group discussion and free-talk.
Based on the New Curriculum, I set three teaching aims.
Knowledge aim: Students will master the new words and structures.
Ability aim: Students can introduce people and identify people. Students can master some reading strategies.
Emotional aim: Students will understand the importance of family and love their family.
Based on my teaching content, here are my teaching points:
Teaching key point: Students should master the new words and understand the use of sentence patterns to introduce people.
Teaching difficult point: Make the students understand how to put the sentences that introduce the people together.
Now, teaching methods and learning methods.
In order to achieve the teaching goals, I will mainly use Task-Based Teaching Method and Communicative Teaching Method which highlight language as a tool of communication.
As for learning method, students need to do more group works, explore and discover by themselves.
Then, please allow me to introduce the most important part-teaching procedures. It includes 5 sections.
Step 1, warm up and lead in.
At the beginning of the class, in order to draw students’ attention and keep their interest of learning English, I will play a video to review the words of family members.
Then, Do an exercise. I will ask students to divide the words into three parts: male, female and both.
By doing this activity, I can make students review family members and lead in the topic of family naturally.
Based on the exercise, students will have the sense of male and female. So I will ask students to finish 2a.
Step 2, Pre-reading.
In this section, in order to lay a good foundation. I will play a video of family photos. And I will ask students to find out mine, Then I will use my family photos to teach new words. Such as: photo, here, dog.
Step 3: While-reading.
The purpose of this section is training students’ reading ability. Students will read the passage for the 1st time and circle the names of Jenny’s family.Then, students will read the passage in details and finish 2c. Through reading the passage twice, students can better understand the passage and their reading ability will be improved. Then I will lead students to do a task reading.
In order to let students know the usage, I will lead students to underline the language points. Such as:Here are two nice photos of my family. I will give students some explanation to help them know its function.
Step 4: Post-reading
First, I will teach students some reading strategies. One is fast reading, the other is careful reading.
Then, I will ask students to do a practice—Fill in the blanks and retell the passage.
There is also a further reading to train students’ reading strategies.
Next, I will tell students the meaning of each letter of family to arouse students’ love and responsibility for their families.
In order to bring out students’ awareness, I will play a video for them.
Step 5: summary & homework.
At the end of the class, I will lead students to summary together. We can review the passage by a brief retelling. As for homework, students need to recite the passage and preview new lessons.
The last but not the least, my blackboard design.
It can help to recall the key information of the passage , which can help students to have a clear understanding.

一、教学内容
本节课教学内容为新目标英语Go For It 七年级上册第二单元第三课时,主要话题是The family (家庭),功能项目是Identify people. .根据本课主题,结合学生生活设计活动,使学生在谈论及描写自己家庭的过程中掌握名词单复数与主谓一致的用法,正确使用标点符号和大小写,以及学会表达出对他人的关爱。
二、教学目标
1、知识与技能:
能够看着图片、实际动作或物品说出以下英语词或词组:here, photo, picture,girl等;
能够用指示代词this,that,these,those介绍人物关系;
2、过程与方法:学生紧密结合自己的实际生活,在课堂多维度的学习情境中,充分展示自己,以自主和小组合作方式积极参与竞猜、统计、讨论等活动,在活动中提高综合语言运用能力。
3、情感态度与价值观:学生在谈论自己家庭、展示自己全家福的过程中,树立自信心,体验学习英语的乐趣;学生在小组活动中积极与他人合作,共同进步。
