Unit 3 Our animal friends(Period1 story time)教案
教材分析:
本单元围绕的主要话题是介绍动物特征,通过学习小动物的外貌特征和行为能力,学习运用身体部位名词、形容词、动词和They have…They can…等句型,并将自己喜爱的动物特征用一个完整的语段描述出来。文本中的长句 It has… and…They have no…or …but they have…是学生表达的难点。另外教师可以结合学生四年级上册Unit8的五官和体貌特征的词汇,设计教学活动,鼓励学生综合运用这些词汇描述动物。也可以让学生搜集与动物相关的信息、玩具等,做教学的拓展和巩固活动等。
教学目标:
1.能理解文章内容,用正确的语音语调朗读短文,并初步复述。
2. 正确运用日常交际用语I have animal friends. It’s/They’re …. It/They can.... It has/They have ….
3. 能正确的听、说、读 单词:animal, leg, body, arm, other, tail, wing.
4. 通过学习培养学生对动物的热爱.
教学重难点:
1.能正确文章内容,用正确的语音语调朗读短文,并初步复述.
2.会说会读单词:animal, leg, body, arm, other, tail, wing.
教具准备:单词卡片,图片,多媒体课件
教学过程:
Step1. Warming up
1.Enjoy a song :“Head, shoulders, knees and toes ”(播放歌曲热身,轻松的歌曲可以缓减学生课前的紧张情绪。)
2.Play a game: Say the similar words as fast as you can. 复习big、swim、nose、lion的同类词并引出下文 (运用游戏,点燃激情,营造浓烈的课堂氛围)
Step2. Pre- reading

Ss: ……
T: Animals are very cute. They are our friends. They are our animal friends.
2.揭题: Unit 3 Our animal friends(师生间的谈话,既复习了旧知,又揭示了课题。)
Step3. While-reading
1. T: The children are talking about their animal friends now. Look,who are they
S: They are Nancy,Mike,Liu Tao and Su Hai.(板书)
2. Watch and match(整体感知story)
T: What animal friends do they have Let’s watch and match.
T: Nancy has fish. / Mike has a dog. / Liu Tao has a rabbit./Su Hai has a parrot. (板书)

T(summary): We can describe animal friends’ color, features and ability. (在读题时解决本课的一部分生词,可以使用单词迁移法来学习新单词,既降低了难度,容易记忆新单词,如art-arm,let-leg,football-foot;在阅读时,提供有效的方法指导,使学生学的更有效,而且有助于培养学生良好的阅读习惯。)
4. 学习第2,3段

③Read after the computer
(先通过Guess环节让学生运用今天学到的知识形容南希的动物朋友。紧接着,让学生以小组形式阅读第四段,划出答案,并让学生自己把答案板书到黑板上,这样做的目的是让学生的自主能力得到提升。)
Step4. Post-reading
1 Read the story
(本课的朗读训练,注重朗读技巧的指导,以及情感的激发,使学生潜移默化的感受到了语言美,学会了投入情感的朗读。这样更加深了学生对语篇内涵的体验,使其情感上得到了共鸣。)
2 Retell the story
生可选择自己喜欢的方式复述。A四人小组合作完成B二人小组合作完成C一人独自完成
(该环节我采用了复述课文的形式。前面的教学环节和教学设计为学生创造了一定的语言环境,也帮助他们一步步地运用语言,在此基础上让学生复述整个故事就水到渠成了。)
3.Try to talk.

(在学生对所学课文内容学完后,不应该仍停留在课本表面,要注重以此为载体,培养和提高学生对英语语言的驾御能力。所以在最后环节我给学生设计了一个任务——利用新学句型说说自己的动物朋友。学习语言的目的是运用, 所以在学生掌握语言的同时,还要注重为学生提供运用语言、锻炼语言的环境,进一步培养学生的各种能力。)
4 Let’s share欣赏动物的照片
T: Animals are very lovely. We should be kind to them. Love animals and make friends with them.
(通过欣赏动物朋友们的照片,让学生得到情感上的升华,引导学生关爱身边的动物朋友,构建人和动物和谐共处的生态环境)
Step 5 Homework
1 Read and try to recite the story.
2. Surf the Internet and find more about animals.
