一、教学目标
1. 熟练掌握本课重点词汇:prefer, Australian, electronic, suppose, smooth, spare, director, in that case, war等。
2. 熟练掌握本课重点句型:
I prefer music that / which has great lyrics.
I only like movies that / which are funny.
She likes musicians who play different kinds of music.
3. 能够通过听获取有关音乐的相关信息。
4. 学生能初步运用定语从句表达自己对于音乐、音乐家的喜好。
5. 培养对音乐的美观,并了解各种音乐形式。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:
1. 掌握本课重点词汇及句型。
2. 能听懂有关音乐的相关信息,并表达自己喜欢的音乐。
难点:感知并初步了解that/which/who引导的定语从句在不同语境中的功能和作用。

四、教学过程
Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
1. Look at the pictures and talk about them.
2. Use “I (don’t) like ..., because ...” to make sentences.
【设计意图】通过图片讨论,激发学生的学习兴趣和热情。
Step 2 Pre-listening
Work on 1a
1. T gives four sentences and asks students to find the differences.
2. T shows two declarative sentences and use them to make an Attributive Clause. Then let students make Attributive Clauses and ask students to make conversations.
3. Let students translate the sentences in 1a into Chinese. Then let students translate Chinese into English again to practice Attributive Clauses.
4. Get students to complete the task on their own.
【设计意图】为下一个环节的听力活动扫清障碍。
Step 3 While-listening
Work on 1b
1. Point to the classified chart and invite three students to read the sentences to the class.
2. Read the instructions to the class. Make sure students totally understand them.
3. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen to the tape.
4. Play the recording a second time. Students finish 1b and then check the answers.
【设计意图】通过听力进一步熟悉定语从句。
Step 4 Post-listening
Work on 1c
1. Ask two students to read the sample dialog to the whole class.
2. Show some pictures and make students complete the conversations according to the pictures.
3. Get several pairs of students to act out their conversations to the class.
【设计意图】通过看图编对话,引导学生完成目标语言的输出练习。
Task 2
Step 1 Pre-listening
1. Underline the attributive clauses introduced by that/who in the sentences. Then translate the
whole sentences.
Step 2 While-listening
Work on 2a~2b
2a
1. Make students understand the instructions of 2a.
2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen to the tape.
3. Play the recording a second time. Students circle T for true or F for false.
2b
1. Point to the numbered list of sentences which contain a blank. Let students go through the sentences first.
2. Play the recording. Have students listen and fill in the blanks.

Step 3 Post-listening
Work on 2c
1. Read the instructions to the class. Point to the sample dialog. Invite a pair to read the dialog to the class.
2. Students work in pairs to make their own dialogues.
3. Ask several pairs to act out the dialogues.
【设计意图】根据听力中的材料进行对话操练。
Work on 2d
1. Watch the video and answer the questions.
2. Role-play the conversation.
3. Learn the language point.
【设计意图】针对目标语言进行口语输出练习,再通过知识点的讲解,帮助学生巩固重要语言点。
