Step 1 Revision
Retell the passage in 2b with the help of the passage structure.

1. Read the invitation in 3a and answer the questions.
2. Learn some language points.
(1) I would like to invite you to the opening of our new library at No. 9 High School. 我想要邀请您参加第九中学新图书馆的落成典礼。
①would like (sb.) to do sth. 想要某人干某事
e.g. My mother would like me to finish homework on time. 我妈妈想要我按时完成家庭作业。
②invite sb. to... 邀请某人参加……
e.g. He invites me to his birthday party. 他邀请我参加他的生日聚会。

2. The opening will be on the morning of Wednesday, January 8th at 9:00. 典礼将于1月8日，周三上午9点举行。
on the morning of Wednesday, January 8th在1月8日，周三上午
in the morning / afternoon / evening在早上/下午/晚上, 但如果有星期，具体的日期或形容词修饰时，in要换成on。
e.g. on Sunday morning在星期天早上

on a warm afternoon在一个温暖的下午
