Step 1 Warming-up
Free talk
Work in pairs and talk about the music or the movies.
【设计意图】通过自由讨论,帮助学生复习与音乐、电影相关的语言表达,拓展学生思维,引发学生联系实际,进行自主表达。
Step 2 Pre-writing
Work on 3a
1. Help students fill in the first line of the blank as an example.
2. Get students to complete the activity individually. As they work, walk around the room offering support as needed.
3. Ask some students to show their notes. In the meanwhile, all the other students add as much as they can to their charts.
【设计意图】充分思考并讨论汇报,为3b构建语言框架。
Step 3 While-writing
Work on 3b
1. Invite a student to read 3b to the class. Make sure students understand it quite well.
2. Divide the class into four groups to discuss what should be filled in the blanks and why.
3. Explain the writing skills to the whole class.
4. Ask students to finish the article about their favorites. Use the ideas they have discussed along with original ideas of their own to complete the article.
4. As students are writing, move around the classroom offering help as needed. Ask several students to read their articles to the class.
【设计意图】此环节为学生提供了使用目标语言进行口语训练及写作训练的机会。
Step 4 Post-writing
Work on Self Check 1
1. Focus attention on the box. Invite a student to read the vocabulary words in the box.
2. Ask students to fill in the blanks on their own.
3. Let five students each read a sentence, the rest of the students listen and see if these sentences are right or not.
Work on Self Check 2
1. Ask a student to read the first sentence and the whole class try to fill in the blanks as a sample sentence.
2. Ask students to finish Self Check 2 individually.

1. Ask a student to read the first sentence and the whole class try to fill in the blanks.

3. Ask several students to read their sentences to the class.
