In the USA,it is normal for men to shake hands when they meet, but it is quite unusual for men to kiss when they greet each other.Greetings are casual—a handshake,a smile and a “hello” will do just fine.
The British often simply say “hello” when they meet friends. They usually shake hands only when they meet for the first time.Social kissing, often just a peck(轻吻) on the cheek(脸颊),is common in an informal(非正式的) situation between men and women and also between women who know each other very well.
In Japan, the common greeting for both men and women is to bow when they greet someone, instead of giving a handshake or a hug.
Hungarians like to greet in a friendly way—kiss each other on both cheeks. The most common way is to kiss from your right to your left. When men meet for the first time,a handshake is the norm.
In Albania, men shake hands when greeting one another.A kiss on the cheek may also be common if there is a close relationship.Women may shake hands or kiss each other on both cheeks.

Table manners are how to behave when you eat a meal. They include how to handle knives, forks and spoons and how to eat in polite manners. To behave well abroad, you should know some table manners.
Eating manners
Japan:It is “perfectly” okay to slurp(啧啧的声音) when you eat noodles.Unlike making big noises, slurping slightly is not rude.Japanese also say it tastes better if you slurp.
Russia:Your wrists should be placed on the edge of the table while eating,a fork in the left hand, and a knife in the right hand.It is not good manners to rest them on your lap.Keep your elbows off the table.Leave some food on your plate to show that the host has given you enough to eat.
France:Never discuss money or religion over dinner. What is different from the manners in Russia is that finishing everything on your plate is considered good manners.
Mexico:Whenever you catch the eye of someone who's eating, even a stranger,it's good manners to say “provecho” which means enjoy. In Mexico, dining is more than a meal. It's a social occasion—lunches are seldom quick and suppers can last for hours.Where you sit matters in the country. Before you get seated, look for place cards,or wait until the host seats you.And you must say “enjoy your meal” before you leave the table.
Drinking manners
America:If you empty a bottle into someone's glass,it obliges that person to buy the next bottle. It's polite to put the last drops into your own glass.
Australia:In a pub,it's usual to buy a round of drinks for everyone in your group. When it's your turn, say “It's my round.”When it's their round, they will buy it for you.Don't leave before you've bought a round.

五、信息摘录(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
Different countries and different people have different manners. We must find out their customs,so that they will not think us ill mannered. Here are examples of the things that a well educated person does or does not do.
If you visit a Chinese family, you should knock at the door first. When the door opens, you will not move before the host says “Come in,please.”After you enter the room, you should not sit down until the host asks you to take a seat. When a cup of tea is put on a tea table before you or sent to your hand, you will say “Thank you”,and receive it with two hands, not one hand,or they will think you are ill mannered.
Before entering a house in Japan,it is good manners to take off your shoes. In European countries, even though shoes sometimes become very dirty, this is not done.In Malaysia,a guest never finishes the food on the table. He leaves a little to show that he has had enough. In England,a guest always finishes drink or the food to show that he has enjoyed it.This will make the host, especially the hostess pleasant.

If you want to go to visit China, some tips below must be known:
Dinners
When you are invited to a banquet, you don't have to eat everything.First, try a little of every dish by putting some on your plate or in rice bowl. You don't have to eat it,but as a foreign guest, you are supposed to be served first. If you don't try anything, your host will be embarrassed(尴尬) and will put it on your plate for you.
Bargaining
When you go to open-air markets or private stores, you need to bargain with the shop assistants.Remember to build a friendly relationship first. You are creating a relationship with the businessman, not a price war.Think of it this way:Shouting,
arguing, and pointing are not good.Smiling, being friendly, offering to buy more for a better price is.And don't be afraid to ask,“Can you offer me a better price?”
Chopsticks
Don't point with them at other people's faces, and by all means don't stick them upright in your rice bowl—that is how the Chinese honor(纪念) the dead at graves. You should put them beside the plate.
Smiling
Chinese smile for more reasons than Americans.A smile can mean the person is embarrassed, trying to be helpful, curious, happy or friendly. In the middle of an argument, smiling means that the speaker doesn't want this to become personal. When all else fails, smile in China. It shows you have no ill intention(意图).
