Background study and material analysis:
The topic of this unit is about jobs. As foreign language school students, they have already learned the vocabularies of some jobs and understand how to ask other’s jobs. So in this period, an extra reading material is supplied for students to read. The content of this material is about future jobs. In this period, students are thinking and discussing about what they are going to be when they grow up. In the pre-reading preparation, k ids are going to visualize the setting of the story by listening and imaging. Before reading , they are going to predict what will happen in this dialogue, what the trees are going to talk about. In the while reading procedure, students will recognize the plot of the story by jigsaw reading. They are going to summarize the story by skimming and finding out the key information. Meanwhile, the summary is not being checked by the teacher but by students. Further more, kids are going to compare the two trees then try to connect the story to the real life and make the final speaking outcomes.
