一、复习预习
1、复习上节课所学的重点内容：动名词作句子中的主语或宾语；
回答：句型表达方式： （1）做某事没有用。
（2）做某事是浪费时间的。
2、针对上节课的作业进行订正、提问或讨论，将集中出错的地方进行分析和进一步记忆。
二、知识讲解
知识点 1：现在分词的形式：
现在分词 及物动词（以 write 为例） 不及物动词（以 go 为例）
主动语态 被动语态 主动语态
一般式 writing being written going
完成式 having written having been written having gone
否定式：not + 现在分词
（1）现在分词的主动语态：现在分词主动语态的一般式表示与谓语动词所表示的动作同时发生；
完成式表示的动作在谓语动词所表示的动作之前发生，常作状语。
Eg: They went to the park, singing and talking. 他们边唱边说向公园走去。
Having done his homework, he played basketball. 做完作业，他开始打篮球。
现在分词的被动语态：一般式（ being done）表示与谓语动词同时发生的被动的动作，
完成式（having been done）表示发生在谓语动词之前的被动的动作。
Eg: The problem being discussed is very important. 正在被讨论的问题很重要。
Having been told many times, the naughty boy made the same mistake.
被告诉了好几遍，这个淘气的孩子又犯了同一个错误。
知识点 2：现在分词的句法功能
【重点】作定语：
现在分词作定语，表示的是分词和所修饰的名词之间是主动或者进行的关系。简而言之，四字箴言：“主动进行”。当分词单独作定语时，放在所修饰的名词前；如果是分词短语作定语放在所修饰的名词后。
Eg: In the following years he worked even harder.在后来的几年中，他学习更努力了。
Eg: The man speaking to the teacher is our monitor’s father.
注意：现在分词作定语相当于一个定语从句的句法功能，如：in the following years 也可用in the years that followed, the man speaking to the teacher 可改为the man who is speaking to the teacher.
(2)【重点】作状语：
现在分词可以作很多类型的状语，表示的是和主句主语之间的主动或者进行的关系。因此，可以比较容易的得出做题依据，即：分析分词和主句主语之间的关系，若是主动或者进行关系，则选择现在分词。
①作时间状语
Eg: (While) Working in the factory, he was an advanced worker.（主语 he 和 work 是主动关系）
在工厂工作时， 他是一名先进工人。
②作原因状语
Eg: Being a League member, he is always helping others.（主语 he 和 be 是主动关系）
由于是共青团员，他经常帮助他人。
③作方式状语，表示伴随
Eg: He stayed at home, cleaning and washing.（主语 he 和 clean 以及 wash 是主动进行关系）
他呆在家里，又擦又洗。
④作条件状语
Eg: (If) Playing all day, you will waste your valuable time. （主语 you 和 play 是主动进行关系）
要是整天玩，你就会浪费宝贵的时间。
⑤作结果状语
Eg: He dropped the glass, breaking it into pieces.（主语 he 和 break 是主动关系）
他把杯子掉了，结果摔得粉碎。
⑥作让步状语
Eg: (Though) Raining heavily, it cleared up very soon.（主语 it 和 rain 是主动进行关系）
虽然雨下得很大，但不久天就晴了。
(3)作补语：以下动词后可跟现在分词作宾语补足语：
see, watch, hear, feel, find, get, keep, notice, observe, listen to, look at, leave, catch等。
Eg: Can you hear her singing the song in the next room 你能听见她在隔壁唱歌吗？
He kept the car waiting at the gate. 他让小汽车在门口等着。
【易错点】区分：see/hear/find/notice 等 + sb. do（主动，完成）
sb. doing（主动，进行）
Eg: I see him enter into the room.我看到他走进了房间。（完成）
I see him doing his homework.我看见他正在读书。（进行）
(4)作表语：“be + doing”既可能表示现在进行时，也可能是现在分词做表语。它们的区别在于“be + doing”表示进行的动作是进行时，而表示特征时是系动词 be 与现在分词构成系表结构。
Eg: Mary is reading a story book now. 玛丽正在读故事书。
→现在进行时
Eg: The film being shown in the cinema is exciting. 正在这家上演的电影很棒。
→现在分词作表语，构成主系表结构。
Eg: The present situation is inspiring. 当前的形势鼓舞人心。
→现在分词作表语，构成主系表结构。

Port Lympne Reserve, which runs a breeding（繁育）programme, has welcomed the arrival of a rare black rhino calf（犀牛幼崽）. When the tiny creature arrived on January 31, she became the 40th black rhino to be born at the reserve. Port Lympne Reserve, which runs a breeding（繁育）programme, has welcomed the arrival of a rare black rhino calf（犀牛幼崽）. When the tiny creature arrived on January 31, she became the 40th black rhino to be born at the reserve. And officials at Port Lympne were delighted with the new arrival, especially as black rhinos are known for being difficult to breed in captivity（圈养）.

The adorable female calf is the second black rhino born this year at the reserve, but it is too early to tell if the calves will make good candidates to be returned to protected areas of the wild. The first rhino to be born at Port Lympne arrived on January 5 to first-time mother Kisima and weighed about 32kg.His mother, grandmother and great grandmother were all born at the reserve and still live there.
According to the World Wildlife Fund, the global black rhino population has dropped as low as 5500, giving the rhinos a “critically endangered” status.
