② Is there a lot of furniture 有
许多家具吗
(1) a lot of/ lots of既可修饰可
数名词复数,也可修饰不可数
名词。修饰可数名词复数时,
可与many互换;修饰不可数名
词时,可与much互换。一般情
况下, a lot of/ lots of用于肯定
句中。
I have a lot of /lots of
books, but i don t have many
shelves.我有许多书,但没有许
多书架。
【注意】alot意为“非常;十分”,
相当于much或 very much,在
句中作状语。
eg: I felt a lot better. (a lot
much)我感觉好多了
I like bananas a lot. (a lot
very much)我非常喜欢香蕉
(2) furniture名词,意为“家
具”,是不可数名词,无复数形
式,不能用a/an,many,few等
词修饰,但可以用much, little,
a lot of等词语修饰。“一件家
其”用 a piece of furniture
表示

very nice.他房间里的家具很
漂亮。
There is a lot of furniture in
this shop.这家商店里有很多
家具
【拓展】many用来修饰可数名
词复数,表示数目,其反义词是
few;much用来修饰不可数名
词,表示数量,其反义词是
little many和much除了用于
肯定句外,还可用于否定句和
疑问句中。
