一、教学目标
语言知识与技能：
1. 能听懂、会读、会说: at weekends, grandparent, chat, Internet, go to the cinema, always, usually, often, sometimes
2. 能听懂、会读、会说句型:What do you do at weekends I always/usually/ often/ sometimes…
3. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论周末活动。
情感态度与学习策略：
在积极地互相沟通中了解周末活动，并体会故事的乐趣。
二、教学重、难点：
1.周末活动的相关表达，了解频率副词在故事中的运用。
2. 对故事内容的正确理解和初步运用。
三、教学准备：单词卡，课件
四、设计思路
本课教学内容是“故事”，一个对话式的语篇；话题是“周末活动”；教学对象，是已有两年多英语学习经验的五年级学生；教学设计时树立整体意识，重点关注对话的主题及所呈现的完整信息，将各环节的学习溶解于文本的大语境中，将教学的视角聚焦于“对话”这个完整的画面、“学生”这些课堂的真正主人以及“生活”这个真实的世界。集中于“故事”的学习过程发散到“生活”，使知识和学习的结果能在课堂、学校之外的真实的生活情境中运用，并能获得学习结果在各种真实情境中的成功迁移，进而运用学校中获得的知识解决现实世界中的真实问题。
五、教学过程
Before class:
1. Sing a song
Step 1: Pre-Reading
1.T: What day do you like Teach: weekends
But we don’t have school on Saturdays or Sundays. Saturdays and Sundays, they are weekends.
T: From Monday to Friday ,we call them -- weekdays .We usually have lessons on weekdays. We can do many things at weekends. Let’s enjoy happy weekend!
2. Review the phrases(Enjoy the pictures)
3.T: Do you want to know my weekends. Please ask me.
Ss: What do you do at weekends
T: I always read books. I usually listen to music. I often watches TV. I sometimes chat on the Internet..
Teach: chat on the Internet
出示tips: always > usually > often > sometimes
(通过大于号的出示和星星的数量，让学生初步建立起频率大小的概念)
(板书：always usually often sometimes)
