1. 保证充足的睡眠，养成早睡早起，晚上不要熬夜，定时就寝的习惯。中午坚持午睡，充足的睡眠、饱满的精神是提高效率的基本保障。
2. 制定一个周学习时间表，每天按计划执行，这样才能保证学习和生活有条不紊地进行。星期一到星期五晚上，要有计划和针对性地复习当天的内容。周末要为自己一周的学习情况做个总结，看看是否真正完成了一周的计划，并为下周做好准备。
3. 讲究学习方法，上课认真听讲，做好笔记，积极地独立思考，不懂就问。再就是要按时完成学习任务，当天的学习任务要当天完成。
4. 紧张的学习之余要学会放松自己，学的时候认真学，玩的时候痛快玩，积极参加一些娱乐活动。
5. 坚持体育锻炼，身体是学习的“本钱”，因此，再繁忙的学习，也不可忽视放松锻炼。
6. 热情大方与同学相处，加强与同学相互沟通。同学间互相关心，互相帮助，团结进取。
7. 注意整理，把各科课本、作业、资料和文具有条理地放好。以免到用时，东找西翻，不见踪影。

考试是每个人都会经历的事情，考试成绩是对你学习情况的鉴定。每个同学都想发挥出自己的最佳水平，考出优异的成绩。这就要求考试时尽量少丢分，捡起那些不该丢的分。那怎么才能做到这点呢？请大家看看下面的四点建议！
1. 整理易错题本
有条理地把你平常做的练习题和试卷里的错题整理出来，专门抄写在一个错题本上，然后自己把错题做一遍。这个本的正面一页是错题的原题，背面是答案，这样错题本就可以反复使用。做完所有题目后，你可以发现自己还有哪些知识点还有疑问，然后请教同学和老师，直到弄懂为止。
2. 做真题模拟题
历年考试真题和模拟题涉及范围非常广泛，可以说想不到的地方都会拿来考，难度也不大，就是广，所以就是要多做这类题目，不断的练习，加深记忆。
做真题模拟题可以了解自己的真实水平到底有多大，哪方面还有漏洞，能全方位更了解自己。通过多做这类题目，还可以在考试时准确把握时间，从容应对， 不会在考场上心慌。
3. 强化听说能力
平时加强阅读训练，千万别浪费时间，持之以恒。每天利用至少半小时时间，大声地朗读和背诵所学过的课文、对话、单词，通过朗读和背诵进行听说训练。通过长期的听说训练，在不知不觉中听说能力就得到了提升和强化。这样在听力测试时，就就能得心应手。
4. 合理应对考试
应对考试也是有技巧的。考试中对听力部分和笔试部分的时间要合理分配，先易后难。在没有放听力录音前，先快速浏览一下试题，听录音时要聚精会神，准确地地捕捉信息，然后推测判断，最后选择和验证答案是否正确。单选题不要花太多时间，把时间重点花在完形填空、阅读和写作上面。阅读速度非常重要，这个速度要建立在准确的基础上，既要有速度，还得有质量，保证准确率。
Chemistry(化学)：古代的炼金术
在古代，有很多人希望能找到一种方法，将低贱的金属变为金子。这种方法就是所谓的炼金术。据说炼金术最早在古埃及兴起，在阿拉伯语中叫作al kimiya。其中，al是定冠词，相当于英语中的the，kimiya据说是埃及的古称，字面意思是“黑色泥土构成的大地”。炼金术流传至欧洲后，其名称al kimiya演变成了英语中的alchemy(炼金术)，炼金术士自然就是alchemist，后来又演变为chemist。表示化学的词根chemi就源自于此，化学chemistry就源自炼金术alchemy。
September来历
今天世界通用公历起源于古罗马历法。古罗马历法原来只有十个月，后来罗马皇帝增加了两个月，并将这两个月放在年初，成为一月和二月。原来的一月和二月便成了三月和四月，后面的月份依次类推。
罗马老历法的七月正是改革后历法的九月。在拉丁文中，Septem是“七”的意思。虽然历法改革了，但人们仍然沿用旧名来称呼九月。September便由此演变而来。
