This Unit is selected from the People’s Education Press , Book 1. The topic is Sports and Fitness. And the Reading and Thinking part mainly talks about two living legends of Sports: Lang Ping and Michael Jordan.
Analysis for the students
There are 50 students in my class. They are shy but diligent. The Ss’ average of English is in a middle level. Therefore, It is necessary to improve ss’ sense of cooperation and make them confident.
Analysis for the teaching aims:
Knowledge aim: Ss could be able to master the key words and phrases such as athlete, master, honour, medal,champion, set an example, fall apart, lose heart, give up,etc.
Ability aim: Ss could be able to master the reading skills such as prediction, fast and careful reading. And the they can finish the exercises with the reading skills.
