1. Do you think there will be robots in people’s
homes
含有宾语从句的主从复合句。“Do you think”是主句部分,“there will be…”是从句部分,从句部分
整个句子作为think的宾语。常用结构为:疑问词+do you think+主语+谓语+其他成分?
例:你认为他是一名老师吗?
Do you think he is a teacher
there will be “将有;会有”,是there be句型的一般将来时,可以与there is/are going to be进行句式转换。否定形式是there won’t be或there isn’t going to be。
这两种形式中的be都是be动词原形。
例:明天将有一场运动会。
There is going to be a sports meeting tomorrow.
there be句型遵循“就近一致”的原则,即离be
近的是单数或不可数名词,be动词就用单数;离be近的是复数名词,be动词就用复数。
例:讲台上有一本书和两支笔。
There is a book and two pens on the teacher’s desk.
讲台上有两支笔和一本书。
There are two pens and a book on the teacher’s desk.
2. People will live to be 200 years old.
人们将会活到200岁。
live to be+基数词+years old,意思是“活到……岁”。其中live作动词,意为“活……;生活”。
例:狗能活15年。
Dogs can live to be fifteen years old.
(1)live on sth.意为“靠……为生”,这里的
sth.常为表示“食物”的名词;live on sb.
则表示“靠某人生活”。
例:大多数亚洲人以大米为主食。
Most Asians live on rice.
(2)live by...表示“靠……(手段)谋生”,
by后通常跟表示方式、手段的动名词。
例:这位老人靠捕猎为生。

3. Will people use money in 100 years
100年以后人们还使用钱吗?
in 100 years “在100年以后”,in为介词,其后跟一段时间表示“在……之后”,通常用于一般将来时,对其提问要用how soon(多久以后)。
例:我将在一周后回来。

more是many和much的比较级,“更多的”,既可以修饰可数名词复数,也可以修饰不可数名词。
