1. belong to
belong to意为“属于”,后接名词或代词,但后面不能接名词所有格。例如:
The house belongs to Mr. Wang.这所房子是王先生的。
The MP5 belongs to me.这个MP5是我的。
【注意】belong to无被动语态和进行时
2. noise
noise,名词,意为“噪音”、“喧闹声”,常指不悦耳、不和谐的嘈杂声。
例如:
Don’t make any noise! 别吵闹!
The noise wakes me up.噪音吵醒了我!
词性转换:
noisy ,形容词,意为“吵闹的”
辨析:noise/sound/voice
(1) sound可以指人或动物发出的声音,或物体碰撞的声音。可以说,大自然的任何“声音”都可以用sound。例如:
Light travels much faster than sound.光的传播速度比声音快得多。
(2) voice一般指人的声音,说话、唱歌、谈笑都可用voice。例如:
The girl has a beautiful voice.那女孩嗓音很美。
 
3. pick up
pick up意为“捡起,拾起”,例如:
She picked up a stone and threw it at the dog. 她捡起一块石头朝那条狗扔去。
【拓展】pick up还有以下几种含义:
(1) 表示“中途搭载乘客”;“接人”等意思 例如:
Wait here and I’ll pick you up at two o’clock. 在这儿等着,两点钟我来接你
(2) 表示“意外发现”;“学到”;“获得”等意思 例如:

run away是固定搭配,表示“逃跑”。例如:
The thief tried to run away, but he failed. 那个小偷试图逃跑,但失败了。

5. probably
probably是副词,表示“很可能;大概”,语气较强,含有可能性较大的意味,例如:
He can probably tell us the truth. 他很可能会告诉我们实情。
辨析:probably/maybe/perhaps/possibly
可能性从大到小依次为:probably>maybe / perhaps>possibly
例如:
He will probably succeed. 他很可能会成功。
Maybe / Perhaps he will succeed. 他也许会成功。

6. attempt
v 试图;常用结构是:
attempt to do 试图做某事(重要考点,大家记着attempt后面用的是不定式to do)。例如
The boys attempted to leave for Beijing.

7. look for
look for 寻找,强调找的动作
find 找到,强调找的结果
I am looking for a pen. 我正在找一支笔。(指找的动作)

V 尝试;常用结构是:
try one‘s best to do sth. 尽某人的最大努力去做某事(注意best后面跟的不定式to do是考试的重点)。例如,

1. Why do you think the man is running
本句是由“疑问词 + do you think + 其他”构成的特殊疑问句。例如:
Who do you think is the tallest in your class 你认为谁是你们班最高的?
Where do you think we should go for a holiday 你认为我们应该去哪里度假?
see sb. doing sth. 意为“看见某人正在做某事”,强调动作正在进行。例如:  
I saw him talking with a man on my way home yesterday.

中考题型之完型填空
【解题步骤1】
(1) 通读全文,了解大意
每篇文章都有一个主题思想,段与段之间有承上启下、前呼后应的句子,段与段、句与句之间紧密相连从而形成一个有机整体。因此在做完形填空的时候一定要一气呵成去读短文,不要中断思路,对于一些不能理解的细节,如生词可以跳过去。另外,在阅读的时候要特别注意短文的开头句子和结尾的句子,因为这些句子一般不设计空白,给学生提供必要的背景信息和结果结论。

(2) 仔细推敲,初定答案
在通读全文,了解大意的基础上开始答题。空缺词句与其前后句的意义衔接必须自然、合理,不可出现意义断层或说东道西的情况,还要综合运用学过的知识,从语法、词语固定搭配、词形变化及逻辑推理和生活常识等角度考虑,有把握的答案一锤定音,把握性不大的可以先初定答案,做好符号,以便于下一步检查和推敲。

如实词多与文章的内容直接相关,虚词多与文章的连贯性或句子结构直接相关,如果从内容上实在看不出要填哪个单词的话,应考虑是否需要填介词、连词等。最后一次阅读全文也是检查所选择的答案是否能够保证短文的意思完整、语义合理、语法正确的关键步骤。
注意:验证答案、修正错误时着重注意:
1)文章是否顺畅;
2)所填单词是否是最佳选项;

注意出现频率较高的词类题,要注意以下几个方面:
名词:应联系文章主题及空格前后出现的有关词,注意其单复数的一致。

介词:应注意其惯用法,特别是与动词或其他词组成的固定搭配。
代词:注意人称、数、格等是否准确。
连词:注意分析前后句或上下文的逻辑关系。
