1. socks (教材P37 1a)
sock作名词,常以复数形式出现。表示“一双短袜”用a pair of socks。
与socks一样,常成对出现的名词还有:

【易混辨析】one 与 it
one的用法
My bag is old. I want a new one. 我的包旧了。我想要个新的。
I can’t find my key. Where is it 我找不到我的钥匙了。它在哪儿?
one 指代与前面提到的事物同属一类的事物, 但并非同一个事物,即“同类异物”。指代同类事物中的一些, 用ones。
it 指代上文提到的同一事物, 即“同类同物”。

介词“for” 表示目的,译为“为……;去做……”; need…for…表示“需要……去做……”。
e.g. —What do you need for your birthday party
—We need some fruit for the salad.
4. It looks nice. (教材P38 2e)
这句话的结构与That sounds good. 属于同一类型,
look 表示“看起来;看上去”,后面接形容词。
e.g. That teacher looks old. 那位老师看上去年长。
