We are what we eat. That is an old expression, but one worth knowing. A recent look at diets around the world shows that people who eat healthy food — and not too much of it --------live longer. But which areas of the world have best diets Researchers found that foods in some of the healthiest diets — Mediterranean, New Nordic, Japanese and French —
may be very different, but they are all heavy on local, seasonal and limit processed foods, which are high in vegetables and seafood and low in red meat.
Mediterranean diet contains(包含) lots of fruits, vegetables, whole
grains, nuts and olive oil. The diet has proper amounts of fish and poultry
(禽肉). Red meat and foods high in sugar and salt are not big parts of this diet.
New Nordic diet has whole grains like oats and rye, vegetables such as carrots, broccoli and eggs, seafood, fruits, oil, low-fat milk and cheese. Very sugary desserts are not common in this diet.
Japanese people are some of the longest-living people on the planet, with women up to 87 years old and men up to 80. The Japanese diet is the reason for such lengths of life. The diet has many foods that are low in
calories(卡路里) and high in nutrients. Japanese people eat a lot of seaweed,
tofu, rice, vegetables and fish. The tradition there is to stop eating when your stomach feels 80 percent full.
However, French people eat fatty foods but do not get fat. And they live a long time. This phenomenon(现象) is called the “French Paradox.”
The reason why the French eat fatty foods without getting fat may be simple. They eat less. Serving sizes in French restaurants and in product sold in
stores are smaller than those in most countries. And generally speaking, most French people do not snack. This means they do not eat food between meals.
1. What do we know about the healthiest diets around the world
A. They contain plenty of calories. B. They share certain similarities C. They reflect popular tastes.
2. What is considered as a harmful eating habit in Japanese tradition
A. Going low in calories. B. Eating to the fullest.
C. Having much seafood.
3. How does the author develop the central idea in the last 4 paragraphs
A. By building connections.
B. By exploring(探究) reasons. C. By listing out examples.
4. Why do French people eat fatty foods but not get fat A.Because they don’t eat food between meals.
B. Because serving sizes in French restaurants and of products sold in stores are smaller than those in most countries.
C.Because they eat less and most of them don’t snack.
5. Which can be the most suitable title for the text
A. What is the healthiest diet on earth , B. How does the new world serve
C. Why is a healthy diet so important

In 1987, a small company named Huawei was started in Shenzhen. After more than 30 years of development, the company has now beaten Apple and become the world's second-largest maker of smartphones behind
Korea's Samsung. It has also become the world's largest supplier(供应商) of
5G.
But recently, Huawei faced some difficulties. The U.S. government ordered a ban(禁令) on its sales in America. American officials said
Huawei gave information that it collected to the Chinese government. At the same time, the U. S. government planned to stop selling parts and services

"We have never received such a request from the Chinese government and we have never tried to get into other systems to collect information." Ren Zhengfei, Huawei's founder and president said. equipment(电信设备) supplier, selling in170 countries! It may beat
Samsung as the largest smartphone maker in the near future.
6. Which company is the largest supplier of 5G in the world
A . Apple. B . Samsung. C . Huawei.
7. Why did the U.S. order a ban on Huawei
A . Huawei's sales in America were growing faster than Apple. B . Huawei refused to supply services to the U.S. government. C . They thought Huawei collected information for the Chinese
government.

B . has go to the system of the U.S.
C . can solve the problems they are facing
9. The underlined sentence in Paragraph 4 means .
A . Huawei's developing experience was hard

Do you know what you’d like to be when you grow up It takes most people many years to find this out. For the young artist Alexandra Nechita, it never really seemed to be a question. From the day she began drawing at the age of two, she was an artist.
Alexandra Nechita was born in Romania in 1985 and moved to California when she was still a baby. As a little child, she loved colouring in her colouring books. Her parents hoped she could spend more time playing with other children, so they took away her colouring books. Alexandra
began drawing her own pictures and colouring them in.
By the time Alcxandra was seven ycars old, she had begun painting with oil paints. When Alexandra took a local art class, her teacher was amazed at the young artist’s unusual style of painting. Alexandra’s work was similar in some ways to the paintings by famous artists like Picasso. These artists did not use a realistic style of painting. They allowed their imaginations to play an important part in their work. The interesting thing was that little Alexandra had never seen the work of these artists. People called her “Little Picasso”. This was a great honour, but Alexandra’s style of painting was all her own.
Alexandra’s first public show was held at a Los Angeles public library
when she was only eight years old. People were amazed at how young Alexandra was, but mostly they loved her imaginative artwork. It did not take long for Alexandra and her work to become famous. She appeared on television programs and in newspapers and magazines all over the world. The sale of a single piece can earn the young artist thousands of dollars. But that is not why Alexandra creates artwork. She just cannot imagine doing anything else that would bring her such joy and satisfaction.
Today, Alexandra is a full-time artist. She also works to help support the arts in schools. Alexandra is a strong believer in the power of art as a tool of communication and a bridge to building peace throughout the world.
