一、教学内容：

二、教学目标：
1、能听懂、会说、会读词汇：Christmas, present, turkey, pudding, stocking, buy, put, Christmas tree, Father Christmas, Christmas Eve, wait for, Christmas Day, have a good time 。
2、能正确理解、掌握故事内容，了解圣诞文化。
3、能初步运用First…Next…Then…Finally…句型来叙述圣诞节活动的先后顺序。
三、教学重、难点：
1、能在真实的情境中体会中西文化差别，有序表达，准确描述圣诞节的有关活动与习俗。
2、理解和运用First/Next/Then/Finally一系列表示先后顺序的副词结构。

Step1. Warming up and lead in
Play a guessing game:
He’s an old man.
He’s fat and lovely.
Who is he
通过游戏，自然导入Father Christmas从而顺利导入话题：Christmas
Step2. Presentation and practice
Talk about Christmas
When is Christmas
What can you see Ss enjoy a video about Christmas
Learn : present, turkey, pudding, stocking, Christmas tree
(3) Judge:
a. Christmas Day is a very important festival in Western countries.
b. People have a lot of fun at Christmas.
(4) What fun Ss guess and share ideas.
2. Look for Christmas Fun
(1) before Christmas
Ss listen and choose (Picture1&2)
Learn: buy…for… put..on/under
Sum-up: Christmas is full of Christmas trees and present
On Christmas Eve
Ss read and underline activities
Learn: wait for
Think and say: Who put the presents in the stocking
If you have a stocking, what present do you wait for
Sum-up: Christmas is a holiday full of stockings.
On Christmas Day
Ss read and underline activities
Learn: have big lunch
Sum-up: Christmas is a holiday full of turkeys and puddings.

Step3. Consolidation
T: Different countries , different culture, and people do different things. Do we eat turkeys and Christmas puddings Do we put a stocking on bed What can we do at Christmas in China
Ss discuss in groups of 4 and make a Christmas plan.

Emotion education: Christmas is coming, you can make a Christmas card . Make a wish and share love!
Step4. Homework
Share your Christmas plan with your family.
