Step1. Preparation.
1. Brain storming.
T: When you see Christmas, what do you think of
S1: Christmas tree.
S2: Stocking.

T: Yes. At Christmas, people buy a Christmas tree, put some pretty things on the Christmas tree and put some presents under the tree. On Christmas Eve, children put a stocking on the beds and wait for presents. On Christmas Day, people have a big lunch, eat a turkey and Christmas pudding. So they always have a good time at Christmas.

Step2. Presentation.
1. Task1: A game.
T: Let’s play the game. When you see the words or phrases, please read loudly. When you see Father Christmas, shake your hands and say, “Merry Christmas!”

2. Task2: Retell the story.
(1) T: Mike and his family always have a lot of fun at Christmas. What do they do at Christmas First Next Then Finally

T: They all have a good time.
(2) T: Boys and girls, First→Next→Then→Finally, it means:
S: 表示事情发展的先后顺序或者是做某件事的步骤。
T: We can use them like this:
S: First, we buy presents.
Next, we put pretty things on the Christmas tree.
Then, Christmas Eve comes.
Finally, it is Christmas Day.
T: So we can cay “First→Next→Then→Finally”. (板书)
We can also say “First→Next→Then→Then→Finally”.
And we can say “First→Then→Finally” too.
Now can you use them

3. Task3: Read and write.

(3) T: Finally, write your name.
S: Write the name.
(4) T: Now, send your cards. When you give the card, don’t forget to say, “Merry Christmas. Here’s a Christmas card for you.”
S: Merry Christmas. Here’s a Christmas card for you.
T: When you get the card, don’t forget to say, “Thank you.”
S: Thank you.
S: Send the cards.
