You may not realize it, but you are doing much more than just studying when you are at school. School is also the place where you learn to get on well with people. But this is not always easy. What can you do if you just don't like one of your classmates
If you discover that you have problems getting on with your classmates or friends, the most important thing to learn is tolerance. Tolerance is the ability to realize and respect the differences in others. We cannot change the way that other people do, so it is important to learn to live happily with them.
Tolerance will make everyone get on better with each other. Getting to know someone may help you understand why he does things differently. Something different does not exactly mean that it is bad. Tolerance teaches us to keep a temperate and open mind.
You need to remember an old saying, “Treat others how you want to be treated.” If you tolerate something, it does not mean that you have to like it. No one is asking you to change who you are or what you believe in. Tolerance just means that you should respect the differences in others and not try to make them change.
It is important to practice tolerance, because it will make everyone's life easier. Learn to accept people for their different abilities and interests. The world is very different, and practicing tolerance in your own school and city can help make a difference.

There are some stories behind English words.
You've spent a lot of time studying how to use English in a proper way. But have you ever wondered why English speakers say some of the things they say For example, why do they say“an easy task" is“a piece of cake" Why do the two letters“OK" means“all right"
Many English words and phrases have stories behind them. Sometimes these stories can help us look back into an old western history. Let's take a look at a few of the original common English words and phrases:
OK
“OK" was an American who lived in the 19th century. His name was“Old Kinderhook". In one year he was trying to take the place of the leader of his town. His supporters went around the town shouting“OK! OK!" The supporters thought their future leader was“all right". The expression caught on, and now if something is “all right", people like to say“OK".
Boss
Is your boss nice to you If not, just be glad you weren't living in the old times. Back to that time, boss could do anything bad to their men and could even beat them! That explains why the word“boss"comes from an old German word meaning "to beat".
A piece of cake
A famous American writer named Ogden Nash lived in the 1930s. Many readers enjoyed his poems and wrote them down in their notebooks. In one of his poems, Nash wrote, "Her picture's in the papers now and life's a piece of cake."" His readers found these words interesting and quickly wrote. them down. They thought that if one picture in a newspaper could make you famous, wouldn't life be easy For nearly 70 years,“a piece of cake" has meant any task or activity that is easy.
28“OK" comes from________.
Old King B. Old Kindman
C. Old Kinderhook D. Old Mcdonald
29.The word“boss" in old German means
to work B. to help
C. to beat D. to kill

In recent years computer scientists have come up with several different ways of creating false videos of people using Artificial Intelligence (AI). These videos are usually called "deep fakes". Some deep fakes work by putting the face of one person onto a different person in a video. Others work by taking an existing video of a person and changing it so that the person says or does something they didn't say or do.
At first, creating deep fakes was complex. It required special knowledge, hundreds of pictures of the person who was being faked, and lots of time. Now it's much simpler. There are websites and apps that allow almost anyone to create deep fakes. An app recently came out which allowed users to put their faces into famous movie scenes. The process takes about eight seconds, requires one picture, and can be done on a mobile phone. One group of computer scientists created a program that allowed them to edit the words coming out of someone's mouth in a video just like you might edit a document on the computer.
However, the popularity of deep fakes may cause anxieties. It's one thing to change the faces of famous actors. But what happens if someone puts out a fake video of a politician, for example, making it look like he broke the law There's also the problem of the time it takes to figure out that something is fake. Even if a video is proven to be fake, it could be too late. Millions of people might have already seen and believed it. On the other hand, what happens if a video is actually real, but people don't trust it because they're told it's a deep fake?
Many deep fakes are so good that only another AI system can tell that they're fake. Experts are working hard to create new AI tools that can identify faked videos. Many people are confident that people can defeat deep fakes soon. However, personally, it is very challenging because this technology has always fallen behind the deepf akes.
32.What does the author focus on in the first paragraph?
A. The way deep fakes work.
B. The way to create false videos.
C. The way deep fakes are named.
D. The way to use Artificial Intelligence.
33.How does the author develop the third paragraph?
A. By making comments. B. By following time order.
C. By providing examples. D. By explaining the difference.
34.What is the author's attitude towards developing AI tools to identify deep fakes?
A. Positive. B. Indifferent. C. Critical. D. Worried.
35.What's the author's main purpose in writing the text?
A. To stress technology development.
B. To introduce deep fakes and the effects.
C. To recommend a new application.
D. To explain the importance of deep fakes.
