1. be supposed to do sth. 意为“应该做某事”。主语通常是人,相当
于be expected to do sth.,常用来提出建议,其否定结构为be not
supposed to do sth.。
e.g. You’re supposed to get there early.你应该早点到那儿。
You’re not supposed to be late. 你们不应该迟到。

注意:be supposed to do sth. 与 should do sth. 的区别

表示一种可能性。be supposed to do相对于be expected to do主观性
更强一些。
e.g. She was expected to arrive before dinner. 希望她晚餐前到达。
3. It + be + adj. + to do sth.
It be impolite / important to do sth. 做某事没礼貌/很重要。
e.g. It is impolite to keep others waiting. 让别人等是不礼貌的。
