Disneyland calls itself the happiest place in the world, but to keep visitors happy in its five locations across the globe, each theme park is adjusted to cater to local cultures and tastes. Outside of the two original resort areas in the US, Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida, the Disneylands in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong offer subtly different layouts(布局) to make their millions of visitors each year feel at home.
Disneyland Paris
After excitedly entering Disneyland Paris, which opened in 1992, visitors can see an arcade(拱廊) that features a small replica(复制品) of the Statue of Liberty—a gift from France to the US in 1886, making it a fitting introduction to Europe’s only instance of this American theme park. The arcade also offers essential cover from the cold and rain that typically hit Pairs. As you venture further into Disneyland Paris, you will see a lot of European visionaries.
Tokyo Disneyland
Opened in 1983, Tokyo Disneyland is the third most visited of any theme park in the world after the two Disney parks in the US. Like Walt Disney World in Florida, Cinderella’s Castle is located at the center of the park, said to culture than Sleeping Beauty, whose castle is featured in the center of Disneyland California.
Hong Kong Disneyland
The Hong Kong Disneyland, opened in 2005, incorporates feng shui and traditional Chinese elements into its design to attract tourists from the Chinese mainland.
Feng shui balances the elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water to create positive energy, and these elements can be seen throughout the theme park. Rocks represent stability and prevent good luck from flowing away, so two gigantic boulders (圆石) have been placed at the park’s entrance to stop energy from flowing out of the resort. Water stimulates fortune and wealth, and the theme park is full of lakes, ponds and streams—not to mention the large fountain featuring Disney characters placed at the main entrance of the park.

Have you ever had travel problems because your airplane was late It is a common problem and it is getting; worse. Airport delays make people angry and cost the country billions in lost work time.
The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA) is the government agency that oversees air travel. They studied the problem of airline delays.
They found eleven major problems and suggested eleven ways to fix them. Some of the problems are caused because different regions of the country do things differently. The regions don't talk to each other enough. Some of them need new computers.
Also, more planes are flying. A strong economy has more people using airplanes to get around. Airplanes are a form of mass transportation now, like trains and buses were in the past. More planes in the airport cause delays.
The airport in San Francisco is a good example. It is growing fast. Many people go through San Francisco to get together places around the world. Ron Wilson of the San Francisco International Airport says, "If you've got 18 flights that all want to take off at 8: 00 a. m. and you're on the 18th plane in line, you're going to be 40 minutes late."
Weather is another main reason for delays. Weather causes about 70% of delays. Fog or freezing rain can cause delays.
The first thing the FAA wants to do is take control away from the regions during heavy traffic times and bad weather. A national center would make decisions on things that affect the whole country. The FAA also wants to put more distance between planes in the sky when the weather is bad. This rule could cause even more delays.
The FAA knows that their solutions will not solve the problems with airport delays. But, they hope to make things better. There are just too many planes, too few traffic controllers, and not enough new technology.
28.FAA found that some of the delay problems are caused by________between two regions.
A. different languages B. technical misunderstanding
C. misunderstanding of the rules D. lack (缺乏) of communication.
29.Which of the following is NOT mentioned as a reason for airline delays?________
A. A growing; number of flights. B. Bad weather.
C. A growing population. D. Lack of new technology..
30.From the passage we can infer that________.
A. FAA is a national center which controls all the flight matters
B. FAA has taken control to solve airport delays
C. in San Francisco, each plane will delay about 40 minutes
D. safety rules during bad weather may cause more delays.
31.Which of the statements best gives the idea of the passage?________
A. FAA should make decisions to stop airport delays.
B. Airport delays are on the rise.
C. Travel problems cost billions in lost work time.
D. FAA has taken control of air traffic nationwide.

The Netherlands on Monday introduced its first﹣ ever intelligent bicycle, fitted with electronic devices to help handlebar bring down the high accident rate among elderly cyclists in the bicycle﹣mad country.
Developed for the government by the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), the intelligent bicycle runs on electricity. It is expected to be on the market in the next two years and should sell for between 1, 700 to 3, 200 euros per bicycle.
The devices on the bicycle are linked through an on﹣board computer with a vibrating (振动的)warning system fitted in the bicycle's saddle and handlebars to warn cyclists of the coming danger.
The saddle vibrates when other cyclists come nearer from behind, while, the handlebars do the same when barriers(障碍物)appear ahead.
"Accidents often happen when cyclists look behind them or get a fright when they ride at high speed, " said Maurice Kwakkernaat, one of TNO, s research scientists. "The on﹣board system technology has already been at work in the car industry, " he said.
"More and more elderly people are using a bicycle, not only for short distances, but also for longer distances, " Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment Melanie Schultz van Haegen told AFP. "This type of bicycle is truly needed in the Netherlands because it will help us bring down the number of elderly people who are injured every year and allow them to continue to enjoy cycling, " she said.
In the Netherlands, bicycles outnumber (比……多)the population of 17 million by at least one million and there are some 25, 000 km of bicycle path in the country. Those numbers will surely grow as more and more people take two﹣wheeled transport, leading to an increased risk of injury.
Last year, 184 cyclists died in the country, of which 124, or 67%, were older than 65, according to the Central Statistics Office. The year before, 200 cyclists died, the majority of victims also being elderly.
The model now weighs 25 kilograms but researchers are working on making the on﹣board systems smaller.
32.The intelligent bicycle is aimed to________

C. popularize the use of bicycles D. improve safety for elderly cyclists.
33.Which part of the intelligent bicycle will vibrate when another cyclist was suddenly found ahead?________

49.A. 该句主语为迪斯尼乐园,为售票方,所以选A.show(出示;展览);send(发送;派遣);collect(收集)都不符合文意.故选A.
51.A. 故选A.
58.A. 其他选项起不到此作用,in a word意为"总而言之";as a result意为"结果";what's more意为"而且".故选A.
59.D. Adventureland and New Orleans Square.故选D.

One possible version:
Responsible or civilized tourism behaviors are of great importance for everyone. Cultural relics and natural scenery belong to everyone, including the generations to come, so we should protect them. And good tourism behaviors can have a good effect on others to follow.
First, when we enjoy ourselves in tour sites, don't throw rubbish everywhere—you can take a small bag with you, and then throw them in the dustbin. Second, don't draw or write anything on the walls or anywhere, for it will be very annoying and it is hard to remove later. Besides, be friendly to the workers and other visitors, and give a hand if help is needed.
