句中showing at the cinemas 是现在分词短语作定语, 修饰前面的films。
show的意思是“上映, 演出, 展览”, 可以用作及物动词或 不及物动词。
e.g. Tales of Old Beijing is now showing at Olympic Cinema.
《老北京的故事》正在奥林匹克影院上映。
Sunshine Cinema is now showing a film called The World of Dinosaurs.

Now, watching movies is has becoming a more and more
popular way to relax ourself. And many people seems to show an insterest in watching movies.
So do I. I like science fiction movies very much. The Lord of the Rings is one of the movie series I like best. It tell about stories between amazing heroes and countries fighting for the magic rings. I really think that Lord of the Rings is an excellent movie and the most important reason that I like it is that I have learned a lot from the film, and I can still put into use throughout my life. Such as friendship, responsibility, dreams, courage and so on.

On the other hand, I lthink that sometimes we run away from the trouble we are facing. While it's different from the movie, the characters challenge their problem, fight for the one they love, and they get what they want at last. That's what I need to learn.

My favourite film star is Maggie Cheung. She is famous all over the world. Maggie Cheung was born in Hong Kong on 20 September 1964. She studied at St. Paul’s Convent School.
At first, Maggie Cheung worked as a model in Hong Kong. Later she became an actress. Her 1984 film Prince Charming made her famous in Hong Kong. She won the Best Actress Award at the 42nd Berlin.
