【Students analysis】
Through some exams, we can know that most of the students are still not familiar with the knowledge and skills doing proof reading.
【Teaching materials analysis】
This class aims at enhancing practicing some common proof readings that have been appeared in the college entrance examinations, the teacher would lead students to have a clearer understanding and try to master the skills of doing proof reading, which is much helpful for them to develop relevant abilities.

Step 1:greeting greeting Begin the class, which can make students pay attention to the teacher.
Step2(Warming-up): play a game. Asks students to find the mistakes in these phrases in a short time. Find mistakes of each phrases. Step 3(Lead-in): What is proof reading. Asks students to summarize their understanding of proof reading. Discuss and conclude after teacher’s explanation: 1. Correct some grammar mistakes 2. Check connection between sentences 3.Check the main idea of the whole passage To make students recall their understanding of proof reading.
Step 4(procedure): 1. Ask students to summarize the methods of questioning and standards of correcting passages. 2.Ask students how to do proof reading. 1. Summarize the methods of questioning and standards of correcting passages. 2. Discuss and summarize how to do proof reading: ①Go through the whole passage to get a general idea . ②Read the passage sentence by sentence and find the grammar mistakes. ③Read the passage again, check your answers. To make students recall and understand some basic rules and skills of proof reading.
step 5(pair work): practice, do one proof reading and find out how many kinds of mistakes in proof reading. After doing one proof reading, and then find out how many kinds of mistakes in proof reading. To develop students’ ability of solving problems by themselves.
Step 6(pair-work): ask students to finish 3 proof readings which have been examined before. For these 3 passages, students can discuss in pairs and come to their final agreement of each passage. Through discussing, students can learn from each other and correct their mistakes quickly.
Step 7: ask students to pay attention 4 points when doing proof reading. Do not need to correct the commas; Do not need to correct the big or small letters; Do no need to correct orders of sentences; Do not need to correct the 11th mistake. Finally help students to correct some mistakes that they may easily make.
