一、学习内容与学情分析
本课是本单元教学的第三课时,学习内容是Culture time 和 Cartoon time。学生在第一课时学习了Story time,能初步使用频度副词有条理地介绍自己、朋友和家人的周末,第二课时学习了Grammar time和Fun time。在前两个课时学习的基础上,学生已经基本掌握了用What do/ does ...do at weekends ...always/ usually/often/ sometimes ...来描述周末生活,以上为本课时学习Cartoon time“动物朋友的周末生活”,了解Culture time“世界流行的运动”奠定了基础。
二、教学目标:
1.能够围绕话题熟练运用What do/does ... do at weekends 询问他人周末活动,并能合理地使用always , usually , often , sometimes来描述自己和他人的周末生活。
2.通过自主阅读能理解卡通故事的趣味之处,通过模仿能正确流利朗读故事,并能加入想象创编、表演对话。
3.通过图片和简要的文字介绍,了解中外文化的异同,知道在英美和中国什么运动最流行,尝试通过多种方式,如上网搜索制作海报等了解更多运动文化知识,提升文化品格。
4.在理解、朗读、编演故事,了解文化等活动中明白运动的重要性,养成多运动以保持身体健康的生活习惯。
三、教学重难点:
1.能够熟练运用What do/does ... do at weekends 询问他人周末活动,并能合理地使用always , usually , often , sometimes来描述周末生活,提升语言能力。
2.能够理解卡通的趣味之处,并能加入想象创编,表演对话,激发学生思维。

五、教学过程:
Step1 Lead in
1. Greetings.
2. Lead in: Today, let’s go on learning Unit7 At weekends.

【设计意图】
开篇直接导入话题“周末”,从学生的感受和熟悉的活动说起,唤起学生记忆激发学生表达欲望。
Step 2 Revision-Our weekends
1. Revise Story time:
T: In story time, whose weekends do we talk about
Ss: ...Mike’s/ Helen’s/ Su Hai and Su Yang’s weekends.
T: Do you know their weekends well Can you talk about their weekends now
Choose one way to talk about “Our friends’ weekends”.

【设计意图】
复习“故事板块”,在前两课时的基础上,引导学生以篇章的输出形式复述或谈论人物周末活动;接着师生谈论教师的周末生活,教师以篇的形式描述自己的周末生活,为接下来学生复述自己周末生活打好铺垫。教师所呈现的周末活动包含本课新授的主要话题,同时提倡积极向上的周末生活。谈论周末生活时评价“...’s weekends are happy/ colourful/ ...”,渲染多彩而快乐的周末生活气氛,激活学生旧知,提升学生“块状语言”表达的能力。

【设计意图】
基于“weekends”整体教学意识,从描述“故事板块”朋友的周末生活,自然地过渡到Cartoon time“动物朋友的周末活动”的学习。这里以学生的自主阅读理解为主,通过整体性问题How are their weekends 引导学生自我感知阅读材料,然后通过What do they do at weekends 引导学生练习核心语言,用频度副词正确表达周末活动。通过绘声绘色地模仿朗读、创造性配音和表演,加深学生对文本内容的理解,进一步激发兴趣。用开放性的活动Billy’s new weekends引导学生展开丰富想像,运用语言描述Billy理想的丰富周末活动;同时创设Billy经过努力锻炼身体,最后瘦身成功,变成帅气无比的猪猪侠的情景,鼓励学生积极锻炼、健康生活,也为文化板块的教学做好铺垫。

【设计意图】
承接动画板块“动物朋友的运动周末”,自然过渡到文化板块的学习。这个板块的目标定位在“了解”,充分发挥学生学习积极性和主动性,让学生展示课前根据兴趣爱好准备的运动海报,介绍他们所了解的篮球、足球、乒乓球信息;然后老师根据学生的介绍,随机地补充介绍该运动。老师对文化板块教材进行了深加工,丰富内涵,如了解美国三大运动,NBA;尊重学生学习主体性和主动性,借助多样学习方式,依托图片、视频等学习资源,帮助学生深入了解英美国家和中国的热门运动,激发学生对运动的热爱。

【设计意图】
本课谈论了动物朋友的周末活动,流行的运动,课后作业设定为“周末做运动,了解并写一写你和朋友的周末生活”,这样的拓展练习 不仅是对课堂知识的有效巩固,更是对课堂知识的延伸,为第四课时进行铺垫,同时帮助学生将课本知识与日常生活建立联系,达到学以致用的目的。
