知识点一 where引导的特殊疑问句
where意为“在哪里”,表示在什么位置,常用来引导提问“地点”的特殊疑问句。
如:
Where is he from？
(1)where是在询问人或物在哪里时常用的疑问词。
其结构为:Where+be+主语(人或物) 回答时常用介词短语。
如:
-Where's your MP4
-It's on my desk.
(2)where is+单数主语,where are+复数主语。
如:
Where is your father
Where are the books
知识点二 常用方位介词的用法
表示方位和地点的介词有on、in、under等。请看它们的具体用法:
(1)on表示“在……上面(紧贴着某物,有接触面)”。
例如:
on his desk在他的书桌上,on the floor在地板上,on the bed在床上,on the wall在墙上
(2)in表示“在……里面”。
例如:
in Class 3在三班,in the classroom在教室,in my sister's dresser在我姐姐的梳妆台里
(3)under表示“在……下面”。
例如:
under my chair在我的椅子下面,under the desk在书桌下面,under Kate's bed在凯特
的床下面
知识点三 连词and、but
1.and的用法
(1)and意为“和;又”,用来连接语法作用相同的句子成分。它们可以是单词、短语或分句。
例如:
John and Tom are our good friends.
(2)用 and 连接两个相同的词,意在强调或表示动作多次反复。
例如:
There are books and books on the shelf.
(3)①如果连接两个以上的词语,通常把and放在最后一个词语前面。
例如:
I like rice,apples,oranges and milk.
②把词语连接起来时,通常把较短的词语放在前面。
例如:
The apples are big and delicious.
2.but的用法
but 意为“但是”,是并列连词,在意义上起转折作用,常用来连接两个分句或词
语。but 前后的两个分句或词语在意义上形成转折关系。
例如:
He is old but strong.
