Step 1: Warm up
Enjoy a song: What do you like to do
Ask and answer:
T: What’s the song about
Ss: It is about hobbies.
T: Do you have hobbies What do you like doing
Ss: I like singing, dancing, drawing, playing table tennis...
T: Different students have different hobbies. There are many clubs in our school. You can join the clubs. First you should know how to join the clubs. You have to pass three tests.
Test1:Know the hobbies.(了解爱好)
Test2:Talk about the hobbies.(谈论爱好)
Test3:Write about your and your friend's hobbies and fill in the form.(写下爱好,填写报名表)
Step 2: Know the hobbies

T: What does Mike like doing
S1: He likes playing basketball and football. He also likes drawing.

Listen and judge
Listen to the tape about another four students’ hobbies. Then judge Happy or Sad.
Brainstorm
T:You have know many hobbies. Do you know other hobbies Let’s play a game: Brainstorm.(游戏规则:用给出的提示发散思维,说出关于
爱好的单词或短语!)
Step 3: Talk about hobbies
Show four pictures. They are parts of the pictures. Let students guess:
What does he/ she like doing He / She likes ...
Ss: He likes drawing.
She likes reading and playing the piano.
He likes playing basketball.
She likes swimming and dancing.
Read the sentences and sum up the use of like.
Ss: like 后用ing.
T: Can you tell how to add“ing”
Ss: 直接加ing;去e加ing;双写加ing
T: If you want to join the club. You should have a club interview. Work with your partner, talk about your hobbies.
A:Hello, what’s your name B:My name is…
A:What do you like doing B: I like ...
A: Are you good at… B: Yes. I’m good at… I can ...well.
A: What does your friend like doing B: My friend...likes...
A: OK, I get it. Thank you. B: You are welcome.
Step4: Write about the hobbies.
T: Write about your and your friend's hobbies and fill in the form.(写下爱好,填写报名表)
Show time: show articles in front.
Step5: Ticking time
I know the hobbies.我知道各种兴趣爱好。
I can talk about the hobbies.我会谈论各种兴趣爱好。
I can write about the hobbies.我会写关于爱好的内容。
Step 6: Enjoy some pictures.
Enjoy some pictures about different hobbies.
T: Hobbies make our life colourful. Let’s enjoy our hobbies.
Step 7: Homework
1.Talk about your hobbies with your friends.
2. Write about your parents’ hobbies.
