【易混辨析】may be与 maybe
may be may是情态动词, be是动词原形,两者构成完整的谓语形式,意为“也许是;可能是”。
maybe 是副词,意为“也许;可能”,在句中作状语,常位于句首。
I can’t find my book in the schoolbag. It may be in my drawer.
我在书包里没有找到我的书,它可能在我的抽屉里。
Maybe she will come this afternoon. 她可能今天下午来。
a little 一点;少量
【用法详解】
(1)a little 在此处作状语,意为“一点”,可修饰形容词或副词,表示程度,与a bit、a little bit同义。
It’s a little hot today. 今天有点儿热。
The question is a little difficult. 这个问题有点难。
(2)a little还可作定语,意为“一点;少量”,修饰不可数名词。
He drinks a little milk every day. 他每天喝一点牛奶。
【易混辨析】few/a few与 little/a little
few 表示否定含义,“几乎没有” 修饰可数名词复数 There are few eggs in the refrigerator. 冰箱里没几个鸡蛋了。
a few 表示肯定含义,“少量;一些” His mother works a few hours a day.他妈妈一天工作几个小时。
little 表示否定含义,“几乎没有” 修饰不可数名词 I have little free time. 我几乎没有空闲时间。
a little 表示肯定含义,“一点;少量” I know a little French. 我懂一点儿法语。
2. He has brown hair and wears glasses.
他有着棕色的头发而且戴着眼镜。
wear 动词, 可表示“戴着眼镜”, “蓄着……样的头发”,
“穿着……样的衣服”等。
wear的宾语是“衣服、鞋子、眼镜、首饰”等。
wear 表示经常性的状态。
put on表示穿的动作。
e.g. She wears sports shoes every day.她每天穿运动鞋。
Mr. Brown wears glasses.布朗先生戴着眼镜。
