Watch a video and then talk.
教师播放自己录制的参观博物馆的小视频。播放的同时缓缓地用英语给学生解说,解说的同时可以适时地让视频停下来,教师与学生进行适当的自由交流。以在博物馆里看到的恐龙化石为话题引出本课内容。

闯关游戏。
闯关须知:Warming up部分教师已经和学生们分享了一个小视频。教师告诉学生还有其他有关参观博物馆的视频,学生们肯定好奇接下来还有什么视频等着他们。教师设计闯关游戏,用PPT或课文动画呈现。在闯关游戏中学生们必须完成本关卡任务才能继续闯下一关。全部闯关结束后可得到继续观看视频的邀请卡。
关卡1:跟大恐龙学单词。(通过在PPT中插入大恐龙图片,老师与学生创编对话,学习单词dinosaur,taller,than,tallest,hall,metre,both。)

②教师播放课文录音。学生认真听。

③教师重复播放录音,每播放一句就暂停一下,让学生看着画面,听着音频,逐句跟读。
④教师出示文本,逐句插入原汁原味的课文音频。请学生扮演第一个角色,教师播放第二个角色的音频,进行人机对话。
⑤交换角色,教师播放第一个角色的音频,请学生扮演第二个角色。(其实这是换了一种形式的继续领读)
⑥教师完整播放课文对话音频。学生认真听。
关卡3:大恐龙带你们来到博物馆。在博物馆你们遇到了更多的恐龙。任务就是——观察恐龙,并与同伴用刚才所学谈论恐龙。
学生参照课文音频和文本,分组进行创造性的对话交流,然后进行小组展示。闯关成功!得到继续观看教师自己录制的视频的邀请卡。
