how long 多长时间
how long 常用来对“一段时间”进行提问，常用“for+时间段”来回答。有时候也可省略for.
e.g. ---How long did you live in the small village ---For one month.
how long 还可用来对长度进行提问。
e.g. ---How long is the river ----It’s about 6300 kilometers.
It takes / took (sb.) some time to do sth.
做某事花费某人多长时间
该句型中，it为形式主语，真正的主语为后面的to do sth.
e.g. It takes me 15 minutes to walk to school.
近义句型：Sb. spend some time (in) doing sth. 某人花多长时间做某事
e.g. I spend one hour doing my homework every day.
