Hi, Grandma! Here I am in Paris. Jenny and I arrived by plane the day before yesterday. Aunt Joan and Uncle Pete met us at the airport. We were tired so we relaxed at home and began our tour of the city yesterday.
Yesterday we went to the Louvre Museum. It has many word-famous works of art, such as the Mona Lisa. In the evening we had dinner in a French restaurant. The food was delicious!
This morning we took a walk. There are shops and restaurants everywhere, and I love the street markets. They sell such good fruit and vegetables. We also did some shopping. I bought a present for you. I hope you’ll like it!
At about three o clock, we took the Paris underground to the Eiffel Tower. It is really high. There were lots of tourists, so first of all, we had to wait in line for an hour, and then we went to the top. We waited till all the lights were on. It was wonderful!
Tomorrow we’ re going to visit a famous palace and take a boat tour on the River Seine. I’ll write again.

arrive v. 到达
arrive 为不及物动词，其后接地点名词时，要加上介词。用法如下：(1)arrive at + 小地点（如学校、机场、火车站等）。
(2)arrive in + 大地点 （如国家、城市等）。
(3)arrive +地点副词（如home/here/there）
到达 arrive 不及物动词 arrive at/in + 大/小地点
get 不及物动词 get to + 地点名词
reach 及物动词 reach + 地点名词
arrive/get/reach 辨析
by + 交通工具 乘（坐）……
该结构多用作状语，一般放在句末，对此提问用how。注意by前不需要加任何的冠词或限定词。

e.g. It’s a good idea to go fishing in such good weather.

till conj. 直到……
till在此作连词，引导时间状语从句，相当于until. 具体用法如下：
(1)用于肯定句中，主句谓语动词为延续性动词，强调主句动作的延续。
e.g. Mary watched TV until/till her mother came back.
(2)用于否定句中，构成 not...till/until(直到……才……)，主句谓语动词可以为非延续性动词，也可以是延续性动词，强调主句动作的开始。
e.g. We didn’t leave there until/till the rain stopped.
People do not know the value of health until/ till they lose it.
