一、设计思路
三年里，他们付出了辛勤的汗水，年年荣获新县一中“优胜班集体”称号，次次考试成绩名列前茅。六月，既是他们毕业的季节，也是他们走向中招考场竞技的时节,更是决定他们何去何从的关键时节。为激发学生“我是班级的骄傲，我是学校的骄傲，未来我将努力成为祖国的骄傲”的高昂斗志，带着母校老师的叮咛与祝愿，在更高的学府里能以更加饱满的姿态迎接未来挑战，特设计本节课，将全班学生与本课课题“他的确是中国的骄傲”紧密结合。
本课将以英雄人物、历史名人及对祖国有突出贡献的人物引入，与学生共同探讨他们为何是祖国的骄傲。
第二环节，将深入学习教育先驱孔夫子的生平事迹，在深层了解孔子的基础上，有效运用英语语言基础知识，同时对孔子的系列名言的英语表达方式有所了解。
第三环节，引导学生更加深入的思考，是不是只有“名人”和对祖国有特殊贡献的人才是中国的骄傲？通过播放2018年网络反响较大的两个视频——“司机礼让，老人脱帽鞠躬致谢”和中央电视台公益广告“早餐店”，让学生感受“普通人”的人格魅力，让学生领悟，能够传递社会正能量，能够触动人心的普通人，同样也可以成为祖国的骄傲。
最后一个环节，作为普通人一员的“我们”，今天是学校的骄傲，未来，通过我们的努力，是否也可以成为祖国的骄傲？通过音乐的渲染，班级学生的日常照片，毕业合影，对学生进行感情的升华，树立学生努力成为祖国骄傲的远大志向！
二、教学目标
1. 掌握单词： pioneer, wise, influence, whom, pass away, set up, come to an end
2. 能听懂并理解介绍孔子的对话的大意，掌握信息转换能力。
能读懂相关的名言，理解其中蕴含的寓意。
3. 对著名的历史人物有更深刻的了解，激发学生未来努力成为祖国骄傲的伟大志向。

4、深入思考：是否只有名人才是祖国的骄傲？普通人能否成为祖国的骄傲？
5、将要从新县一中毕业的“我们”，是否是学校的骄傲？未来能否成为祖国的骄傲？我们应该怎样做来实现这一伟大志向？
