Ss will be able to write on the topic ‘Keep ... clean’ according to the following parts: salutation, beginning, body, end, complimentary close. Ss will be able to give a speech on the topic ‘Keep ... clean’.
教学重点:
1. Ss will be able to write on the topic ‘Keep ... clean’ and give the speech.
教学难点:
1. Ss will be able to use the key words and sentences in their writing.

Ⅰ. Lead-in T plays the recording of bird sound and then shows Ss the pictures of Jack and Jill. T plays the song and Ss sing it. T introduces the key sentence structures ‘What makes ... dirty ’ and ‘What can we do to keep ... clean ’. Ⅱ. Presentation T mentions that Jack and Jill want to find some clean places and then introduces the four pictures from Checkout time. Then Ss use the key sentences to describe them to their partners. 4. Jack and Jill come back, and ask Ss to tell more people to keep different places clean. Ⅲ. Production 5. Ss choose one picture to write a speech on the topic ‘Keep ... clean’. 6. Ss write and T observes. 7. T selects some writings to correct and mentions the major mistakes. Meanwhile, Ss tell the good & bad sides of the writings. 8. Ss exchange their writings to correct. 9. Ss read their corrected writing and prepare for a speech. 10. T introduces the tips on how to give a speech perfectly and Ss give a speech. IV. Conclusion T shows Ss the pictures of our clean and beautiful city and calls on Ss to keep it clean together. 12. T assigns homework: ① Give a speech on the topic ‘Keep ... clean’. ② Make a poster with your writing.
