Unit7 Protect the earth
(Fun time &Cartoon time)教学设计
教材分析:
本单元围绕话题“保护地球”,紧密联系学生生活实际引导学生热爱地球、保护地球。主要学习句型use… to …的用法、情态动词should的用法以及有关资源的不可数名词和数量词。由于前两课时的学习基础,学生了解并懂得其用法,本节课进一步在实践活动中运用语言知识,提高语言表达能力和综合运用语言的能力。
二、教学目标:
1.能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型与日常交际用语: We use…to… We should… We shouldn’t…
2. 组织学生进行手工活动,学生知道“变废为宝”,并用句型…reuse…to make…作介绍,增强保护环境的意识。
3.能正确理解、朗读Cartoon time中的故事,能读懂其中的趣味之处,能在教师的指导下表演故事并小组合作制作以“保护地球”为主题的海报。
4. 知道世界地球日及世界环境日的英语名称,增强环保意识,教育学生热爱并保护地球。
三、教学重点:
1、组织学生进行手工活动,学生知道“变废为宝”,并用句型…reuse…to make…作介绍。
2、能正确理解、朗读Cartoon time中的故事,能读懂其中的趣味之处,能在教师的指导下表演故事并小组合作制作以“保护地球”为主题的海报。
四、教学难点:
用 …reuse…to make…作介绍“变废为宝”的手工制作。
小组合作制作以“保护地球”为主题的海报并用英语介绍海报内容。
五、教学策略:1、通过手工制作、看卡通片等活动帮助学生一步建构知识
2、让学生在主动探究、合作学习的过程中,内化知识,提升能力。
六、教学工具:多媒体PPT 、 制作好的纸质笔筒、海报。

(设计意图:采用自由交谈学生熟悉的话题的方式调动学生参与课堂的积极性,激发学生英语表达的欲望。接着出示单词或词组让学生造句表达,既复习了前两节的知识,也训练了学生构建单词的能力。)
C. Pre-reading
1. Present some riddles, get ss to read and guess what it is or what they are.
(设计意图:读语段猜谜语是学生比较感兴趣的环节,能够自主读懂英语并完成任务,学生就会有成就感,增强学习英语的自信心。同时,复习了有关资源的不可数名词,为以下活动的开展做了铺垫。)
T: Water, coal, oil, trees and plastic come from earth. We should us properly. If not, it is bad for earth, right
2. Watch a shout video about our earth, which was nice before, but now is polluted.
(设计意图:一段有关地球的生态环境的视频,调起学生的注意力,视频内容很快带领学生进入今天的活动主题“保护地球”,也为以下的讨论提供了丰富的信息资源。)

Brain storm: Answer the questions one by one to recall the context learn in the first period. Better students imagine according to real life and experience.
(设计意图:通过前两课的学习,学生比较熟悉这一话题“怎样保护地球”,“头脑风暴”中大部分学生会讲有课文有关的句子,当活动继续中课文中的内容被说完,有部分学生会自己构建词组句子表达他们的想法,有效地激发学生的思维能力。)

S: Plastic can be reused. Water can be reused…
T: Great. We can reuse the paper to make a pen container. (make a pen container for students in class )
3. work in pairs. Two students reuse something to remake. Then show the works.

(设计意图:同桌互动“变废为宝”,提高学生动手能力,同时学会句式表达来阐述再利用的价值。)
D. While-reading
1.T: You did the project very well. Let’s look at Bobby , Sam and Billy. They’re doing a project, too.

②Teach the word: poster . Show some posters for students.

③Get ss to say what they want to know about it. Students ask some questions about the poster by themselves.
(设计意图:在预测故事环节中,让学生看图了解大意,鼓励让学生自主提出有关想要了解的信息的问题,有效训练了学生提问题的能力,同时突出学生的主体性。)

4. Read and judge.
(设计意图:通过连线、判断等形式训练学生精读的能力,指导学生从文本中找细节获取答案。)
5. Repeat and read after the tape sentence by sentence.
Students read or act in groups of four.
The students who read fluently get one star.
The students who Read fluently and beautifully get two stars.
The students who act it out with emotions get three stars.
(设计意图:课堂中最适合的评价方式是生成性评价,该环节设置了三个不同程度的表演方式,适合班级每个学生选择,既考虑到成绩落后的学生,也让爱表现的学生得以展示的机会。)
6. Encourage students to imagine if they are the member of them, what they want to draw.

(设计意图:采用体验式方式,让学生感知并熟练运用知识点。)
D. post-reading
1. Design a poster to appeal people to protect the earth. Let people know how to do it. Work in groups.

(设计意图:小组合作活动可让学生增强合作的意识,感受在小组活动中自我实现的价值,同时也能与他人探究、讨论来提高自己,也提高小组的竞争力,这也符合当今社会发展的形式。)
2. Present the festival , the Earth Day to students, Introduce the date and the purpose.
3. Read an introduction of the earth for students. Students understand the meaning and answer the questions in the passage. Get students to know “We have only one earth. Let’s protect the earth.”
(设计意图:通过文本阅读,提高阅读理解能力,同时再次点题“保护地球”,做到首尾呼应。)
Homework:
1、Reuse the paper、plastic bags or bottles to make something, then introduce to your classmates and families.
2、Write a short passage about how to protect the earth.
(设计意图:两项家庭作业的设计体现了本课的重难点,既能帮助学生巩固所学思维知识,也是本课的拓展、学生写作能力的训练机会。)
