Lesson 10:Exercise
1.能听、说、读、写单词exercise,minute,hour。
2.灵活运用“How often do you…?/How many minutes do you…?”等句型。
3.通过本课教学,使学生了解健康的生活方式。
重点:掌握四会单词exercise,minute,hour。
难点:1.“How many…?”与“How much…?”表示“多少”意思的用法及区别。
2.灵活运用“How often do you…?/How many minutes do you…?”等句型。
Step 1 热身(Warm up)
1.Greeting:“Hello!How are you?Nice to meet you!”
2.Let's watch a short movie. Then answer the questions:
Does Danny love sports
What sports does he play
Step 2 复习(Review)
1.展示时钟表盘,用于复习“What time is it?”
T:What time is it now
S1:It's five thirty.
T:What time is it
S2:It's seven o'clock.
注意提醒学生整点怎样读。
2.展示幻灯片,内容为一些运动的图片。
T:What are they doing
S3:They are riding bikes.
T:What is Jenny doing
S4:She is playing basketball.
Step 3 新课呈现(Presentation)
1.学习minute,hour。
展示大的时钟表盘,用以演示minute和hour的概念,将分针转动一周,慢慢地转,边转边说:Sixty minutes make an hour.
板书:minutes,hour。
讲解:hour小时,an hour 1小时。
T:Minutes,hour.
Ss:Minutes,hour.
T:An hour.
Ss:An hour.
T:How many minutes make an hour
Ss:Sixty minutes.
T:Right. Good!
请一个自告奋勇的学生完整地说:Sixty minutes make an hour.
全班一起说:Sixty minutes make an hour.
2.播放第一部分课件,学生边看边跟读。
3.播放教科书中的4幅图片,请学生以one by one的形式说一遍。
S1:Riding a bike is exercise.
S2:Walking is exercise.
S3:Running is exercise.
S4:Playing ping pong is exercise.
T:What else is exercise
S5:Playing volleyball.
S6:Playing football.
S7:Playing basketball.
T:Right.
让学生观察教科书中4幅图下面的句子有什么特点。
讲解这些句子都是动词做主语,在这种情况下,将动词变成它的现在分词形式。
4.幻灯片展示第二部分,帮助学生理解课文,设计几个小问题。
a.How much exercise do you need
b.How many minutes does Danny exercise
c.Does Danny need more exercise
d.How many minutes does Danny walk
Step 4 操练(Practice)
视频展示“Read and write.”,让学生小组讨论下列问题:
①How long does Li Ming run in the morning every day
②How often does Li Ming play basketball
③What is his favourite sport
④How many minutes does he exercise a week
Step 5 巩固和拓展(Consolidation and Extension)
同学们,本节课我们学习了exercise一词,exercise作为名词有可数和不可数之分,当“锻炼”讲时是不可数名词。当“操;练习”讲时是可数名词。例如:morning exercises,eye exercises.
①Collect more English names of exercise. And write five sentences using“… ing is exercise.”
②Make a dialogue with your friends about exercise.
