一、教材简析
本单元的话题为“公共标识”。公共标识在生活中随处可见,所以在教学过程中应重点引导学生关注标识,讨论标识,做遵守公共法规和秩序的社会公民。同时,还可以鼓励学生为班级、学校、街道、社区等场所设计和制作公共标识,学以致用,提高公民意识。
二、教学目标
1、知识目标:认知生活中的signs; 会用“mean”问答关于signs 的问题。
2、技能目标:学会设计和制作标识;能灵活运用句型“What sign is it / What does this sign mean ”及其回答。
3、情感目标:争做遵守公共法规和秩序的好公民,提高公民意识。
三、教学重、难点
1、教学重点:认识signs; 活用“mean”问答关于signs 的问题;设计一个标识。
2、教学难点:根据自己所设计的标识,活运用句型“What sign is it / What does this sign mean ”进行写作。
四、设计理念
坚持以生为本,根据学生的兴趣、爱好整体设计目标,激发学生的求知欲;通过感知、体验、参与和合作探究等活动方式,构建知识,完成任务;突出学生主体,使每位学生积极参与教学活动,从而展现自我,发展个性。
五、设计思路
课前环节:出示本节课任务,使学生明确本节课要做的事。导入环节:采用“Q Zone”更新朋友圈的形式,复习课文。并由Helen看到的不文明现象引出志愿者活动。呈现环节:以去Disneyland做志愿者的活动为主线,对本单元的重点内容进行巩固和检测。志愿者活动分为两个阶段:a.准备工作(Read)b.投入工作(以小组活动形式呈现)。巩固环节:a.内化“志愿者”活动(校园英语标识征集大赛)b.写作指导。作业环节:绘本“ Signs all around us”阅读; Design a sign for our classroom。

Step1 Lead in
1、Show the points of this class.
T: Before class, let’s look at today’s points. (a) Talk about signs. (b) To be a volunteer (c) Design a sign.

2、Show Helen’s “Q Zone”.
a. T: Let’s look at Helen’s “Q Zone” and help her finish the message.(帮助Helen完成QQ朋友圈的更新)。

【设计意图:以“更新QQ朋友圈”的方式,复习、巩固Story time。创设QQ聊天的情境,展示一些不文明现象的图片折射出标识的重要性及生活中仍存在一些不文明现象,自然过渡到“志愿者”活动。】
Step 2 Being a volunteer
1、Preparation:Reading
a.T: Before being a volunteer, we should make some preparations. (做准备)
Ss: (PPT 出示一本关于signs的图书), 学生运用句型“What sign is it / What does this sign mean ” 完成Reading 任务。
【设计意图:“志愿者”活动之前应先做好充分的准备,所以此环节设计了准备活动:Reading。Reading 主要考察学生对标识的认知度,为志愿活动做好准备。】
2、Get to work
a. Work in groups and remind(提醒)people of the signs.(PPT 出示动物园各场所及各场所的标识)
Learning tips: 以四人小组为单位,其中一人扮演志愿者,选择1个场所,提醒其余三位“游客”在游玩中应注意的事项。(可适当拓展对话哦!)

Step 3 After being back to school
a. (1) T: Well done, boys and girls. You are all good volunteers, and I hope you can do better in the coming days. Well, after being back to school, we’ll hold a competition about signs. (举行一次校园英语标志大赛) Here’s the notice:
Campus signs competition (校园英语标志征集大赛)
To make our campus more beautiful, we’ll hold a competition about signs. Please design a sign for the places: classroom, corridor, library, playground and so on. (比赛设“最具创意奖”和“最佳口才奖”)
Love our school, love our environment.

九、教学反思
本节课教学内容为译林英语6A Unit5 Signs (Checkout time& Ticking time),重点在于引导学生进行自我检测本单元的重点内容,下面就本课设计环节及教学过程中所出现的问题做以下反思:
1、课前先引导学生从整体上把握并明确本节课的学习目标:能认识标识;会用“mean”提问和回答的句型;会设计一个标识,并在教学过程中一一实现。
2、热身环节:以学生熟悉的“Q Zone朋友圈”为切入点复述课文,引起学生的注意,鼓励学生帮助Helen完成她的朋友圈更新,采取写的方式,旨在考察学生对课文的掌握程度,以实现基础过关的目的。在朋友圈回复中设计了一则消息为:我们应该提醒他人看标识做事,做文明人,创设一个QQ聊天的情境,从而引出“志愿者”活动。
3、“志愿者”活动。
a. 准备工作:读一本关于城市标识的书,以达到认识标识的目的。
b. 到达上海Disney,分组活动,练说用“mean”提问和回答的句型。
4、结束志愿者活动,返回校园,举行校园英语标识大赛,以检测设计标识的能力。其中重点指导设计标识的写作方法。
存在不足:
1、上课太过紧张,课堂组织语言时不够流畅,志愿者活动环节过渡不自然。
2、校园标识比赛展示后没有及时给予学生评价。
3、写作指导需要及时板书再做强调,板书过程衔接不紧凑。
