2.在相应的情景下运用本单元所学句型对课后活动进行提问与回答。
3.理解故事大意,在复习部分提前渗透;同时在表演时,鼓励学生运用自己已有的知识,创造性地进行表达。

教学过程:
Step1: Warm-up

Step 2: Presentation and practice
1. The students answer the questions. How do you go to school Do you know how to be safe on the street
2. Learn the story :“Be Safe on the Way ”
(1) Talk about the pictures. Listen to the tape to understand the story.
(2) Read the students to follow along as you slowly read the story.
(3) Play the audiotape for the story. Ask the students to follow along in their books silently. Play the audiotape again and ask the students to read along with the tape.
(4) Read in groups and role play this story with the pictures.
Step 3: Consolidation
1. Review what we have learnt in Unit 2.
2. Do the activity book.

Today is the first day of school. Two boys and two girls meet at the bus stop.
Sam: Hi, my name is Sam.
Oba: Hello, I’m Oba.
Al: My name is Al.
Neva: I’m Neva.
They are waiting for the school bus. They are very happy.
Sam: Where are you from?
Oba: I’m from this city.
Al: I’m always excited on the first day of school.
Neva: Me, too.

Al: I am always very careful. I always watch for cars and bikes...
Oba: And you always play far from the street. I often look to the
left and to the right before I cross the street.
Sam: Sometimes I take my friend’s hand. This will keep her safe.
It is always good to be careful. Everyone knows that.
Neva doesn’t like to talk. She never says much.
Sam: Be careful, Neva. Don’t stand too close to the street.
Neva: Thanks.
Now, they see the yellow school bus coming. The driver is a woman.
She is Ms. Marshall. She is very nice.
