Unit 8 Chinese New Year
第一课时教学设计
一、教材分析
本单元的话题是中国新年,也叫春节。Story time以电子邮件的方式,展示了香港女孩Anna一家的春节活动计划。要求学生能运用本课所学知识谈论他人和自己的节日计划,引导学生进一步了解春节,增强学生热爱中国文化的情感。
二、学情分析
六年级学生除了具有较高的英语知识水平和英语表达能力外,还具有较高的运用信息技术手段搜集资料、阅读英语素材、运用英语进行表达的能力。本课的话题是中国新年,学生非常感兴趣,同时,也有能力在课前预习时上网搜集关于春节的物品、风俗习惯并发送邮件给老师;在课中,利用电子白板和平板电脑等现代化教学手段,生生之间、师生之间、学生与白板、平板、资源之间进行深层互动,兴趣盎然地学习新知进而理解文本,习得语言并进行有效的输出。
三、教学目标
知识目标
1.听懂、会说、会读、会写单词get, food, next week以及一般将来时的句型What is she going to do She’s going to…What are you going to do I’m/We’re going to…
2.听懂、会说、会读单词:tang yuan,Hong Kong,Chinese New Year’s Eve,Chinese New Year’s Day, red packet, lion dance, fireworks, firecrackers。
能力目标
1.初步理解并朗读课文,能够讲述Anna一家是如何过中国新年的。
2.通过学习,了解中国庆祝新年的不同习俗,也了解海外华人庆祝新年的一些习俗。
3.了解英文电邮的格式,围绕中国新年主题谈论节日计划,并尝试写一封电邮,
介绍自己的节日计划。
情感目标
引导学生进一步了解中国最传统节日“春节”,培养学生热爱中国文化的情感。
四、教学重难点
教学重点:
1.听懂、会说、会读、会写单词get, food, next week以及一般将来时的句型What is she going to do She’s going to…What are you going to do I’m/We’re going to…
2.初步理解并朗读课文,能够讲述Anna一家是如何过中国新年的。
3.了解英文电邮的格式,围绕中国新年主题谈论节日计划,并尝试写一封电邮,
介绍自己的节日计划。
教学难点:
1.一般将来时be going to的用法和lion, fireworks, firecrackers的读音。
2.围绕中国新年主题谈论节日计划,尝试写一封电邮,介绍自己的节日计划。
五、教学设计思路
基于对教材、学情的分析和重难点的把握,我按照“先学后教”、“以生为本”的原则,利用电子白板和平板电脑的多种功能,设计了层层递进的阅读任务,开展“预习成果汇报–看动画整体感知电邮–细读电邮–复述电邮–谈论计划并用Ipad写电邮–展示电邮”等一系列学与教的、丰富多彩的活动,鼓励学生自主实践,眼耳口手脑并用,多交流互动去获取新知,解决学习中的难题。

七、教学过程
Step1 Preparation准备环节(预习汇报)
1.Greetings
T: Hello, boys and girls.
S: Hello, Miss Su.

T:What date is it today
S1:It’s the 9th of January.
T: Yeah. Chinese New Year is coming. Today we’ll talk about Chinese New Year.

T: Last class, I asked you to collect something about Chinese New Year. I have received some e-mails. I chose two. First, let’s read Zhang Yu qiu’s e-mail.
(1)教学生词tang yuan, fireworks, firecrackers
Z: (上台) What is this/are they
S:Tang yuan/Dumplings/fireworks/ firecrackers.
T:(播放音频并教学)Fireworks, firecrackers. They both have “fire”. We can light them.(书写light,教读)Can you light fireworks and firecrackers

(4) 教学stick couplets, light firecrackers

【设计意图】
师生间简短的问候导入本课主题“春节”。教师展示收到的两封邮件,首先由一名学生上台操作白板,问What’s this What are they 学习新知。在学习fireworks, firecrackers难点时,拖拽词条播放音频学习新词,另一名学生拖拽聚光灯呈现人们的风俗习惯,与其他学生问答,在生生交流中解决新知。教师抓入课堂生成,鼓励学生说出更多春节相关物品,并现场调取资源,学生的思维得到进一步的发散。
Step2 Presentation呈现环节(感知文本)
1.Watch and answer
T: From their e-mails, we know people can do many things at Chinese New Year. My friend Su Hai got an e-mail, too. Let’s watch and answer.
(1)Who wrote the e-mail
S: Anna wrote the e-mail.

2.Learn how to write an English e-mail and the structure“be going to…”
(1)了解英文电邮的格式
T: This is an English e-mail. It’s for Su Hai. And it’s written by Anna. At the end of the e-mail, we can write “love or yours or best wishes”.

3.Look, listen and order.
(1)教学句型What is she going to do
T: Anna is very excited. What is she going to do (呈现、教读并板书What is she going to do )

(2)做排序练习并校对

【设计意图】
进入文本后,提出两个问题 Who wrote the e-mail What is the e-mail about 让学生观看课文动画回答问题,在学生回答问题后呈现前言和邮件开头部分,教授英文电邮的格式,再提出一个主旨性问题What is Anna going to do at Chinese New Year 让学生做练习纸上的看图排序练习,整体感知文本。
Step3 Practice练习环节(理解文本)

【设计意图】
整体感知后,深入细节,通过自读文本回答问题,听录音判断正误,同桌阅读并连线等阅读方式,由易到难,由浅入深,时刻渗透阅读策略,使学生在不同的阅读任务中逐渐深入理解文本内容,学会提取关键信息的办法,也使整节课做到听、说、读、写的有机统一。
Step4 Production产出环节(复述文本)

2. 做填空练习并校对

【设计意图】
读后环节安排学生自主阅读课文,倒计时一分钟。然后呈现练习纸上的练习完成信息,一学生上台拖拽词组,其他同学并根据信息内容复述课文,核对答案。
Step 5 Extension拓展环节(仿写电邮)

【设计意图】
本环节是让学生运用所学语言的重要环节。教师漫游自己的过年照片长卷,为小组活动作示范。让学生分组谈论自己的春节计划,并用Ipad写电邮发送给老师,展示邮件并评价。最后播放一段海外华人过春节的视频,让学生感受到中国传统节日的魅力,激发学生爱中国文化的情感,进一步升华了本课主题。
