W: Your libra ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )ry books are due on December 13th. If you have not finished using them by then, you may renew them once.【
M: Thank you very much . I only need them for a few days.21
Q: When must the man return his books to the library
W: Do you live in a college dormitory
M: Yes, I do ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ). It's a six-man suite, but at the moment only four of us live there.
Q: How many people share the suite now
M: I need to cash this check
W: Will you step right over to the teller's window, please
Q: Where is the conversation most probably taking place
D、否定类:
此类对话既可以含有not,no, ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )neither,nor等否定词,也有 but,although等转折词,或由would rather,too...to结构及虚拟语气等表达。
M: Ann, do you have any extra money you could loan me
W: I wish I could h ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )elp you. I went shopping yesterday. Now I have only two dollars till the end of the week.
Q: Will the man borrow any money from the woman
I wish I could help you. I'm sorry I can't help you.
M: Good evening, ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) Madam. There is a table for two over there. This way, please.
W: Thank you. Could I see the menu, please
Q: What's the relationship between the man and woman
A:Husband and wife. B:Waiter and customer.
C:Salesman and customer.
W: Are you going to New York next weekend
M: Yes, I'm going to look up Bill while I'm there.
Q: What's the man going to do
W: How do you like the play you saw last night
M: Well, I should have stayed at home.
Q: What does the man think of the play
A:It is exciting. B:It is boring.www-2-1-cnjy-com
C:He didn't see the play.
I should have sta ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )yed at home."(我真该待在家里),这句话已婉转地表明他不喜欢这出戏,而对没有待在家里表示遗憾、后悔(should have done something这种结构可用来表示"对应该发生而实际上没有发生的事情表示遗憾、后悔或谴责)。

Foreign trav ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )el has been beyond most of us for the past 18 months because of restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic. However, there are signs of hope for us to resume our sojourns to exotic and faraway places. The National Geographic magazine has released its list of the top 25 travel destinations for 2022. The list is split into five categories: adventure, culture and history, family, nature and sustainability. George Stone, Nat Geo's executive editor for travel, explained the rationale behind the list and how covid-19 helped shape it. He said: "In many ways, the pandemic provided a moment for travelers and communities around the world to reflect and regroup on how we explore the world."2-1-c-n-j-y
The list includes ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )a visit to London's Tin Pan Alley, famed for its music history, and a tour of Hokkaido, Japan, renowned for the unique heritage of its indigenous Ainu people. For nature lovers, exploring Namibia's Caprivi Strip is recommended for its abundance of natural wildlife. Mr Stone said the pandemic has made people choosier about their vacations. He said: "People are going to be making much more conscientious choices…so we wanted…specific ideas about what is a unique, revealing and safe destination for the year ahead." He added: "These superlative destinations speak of resilient communities, innovative conservation efforts, and thrilling opportunities for future exploration."【版权所有:21教育】

M: Hello, every ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )one. Today I’d like to tell you something about the American culture. North American culture is very diverse. It has been influenced by many different countries and societies. Western culture can date back to Ancient Greece. Some of its bases began from Ancient Greece. After the fall of the Roman Empire, western ideas or standards spread to the countries of central and Western Europe. These ideas finally crossed the Atlantic Ocean. Although religion, government, and science play important roles in society, the arts have had the most significant influence on North American culture in recent centuries. This new period of time relies heavily on literature, music, dance, and the visual arts as a way of self-expression, creativity, and individuality. The invention of television and the Internet has provided a new source for western values. The populations in Canada and the United States include a large number of families who have immigrated from different countries. Here, people from different backgrounds and nationalities grow up side by side, promoting an accepting society. In all, American culture is a diverse mix of customs and traditions from nearly every place of the world. Any questions Please raise your hand.

My way to stay young i ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )s simple: Give full attention to the part of you that’s young and growing---your brain. Keep your mind active and your body will stay young, too. Never think ab ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )out your age, it’s not too late to make your life more interesting. I know a house wife who became a famous industrial designer; I know a retired electrical engineer who has become a highly paid artist.
Get over the i ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )dea that you are too old to go back to college. I know I man who entered medical school at 70. He got his degree with honors and became a top doctor. Another man went to law school at 71 and is now an active lawyer.

M: Hello, everybody. ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) Today I'd like to share with you something about John Audubon. John was born on April 26th, 1785. He spent much of his childhood in France, where he spent many hours each day outdoors painting pictures. At the age of 18, he moved to the United States. Well, actually, John began his life in the US as a businessman. However, instead of taking care of his business, John was often off exploring the nature. At first, John spent his time hunting for fun. Then he found that the animals around were very beautiful, and he particularly enjoyed observing the birds he saw. He began studying them, trying to learn the differences between the birds and noticing their different behaviors. Therefore, he painted the birds he observed a lot. In 1819, John realized that he didn't have enough money to pay his bills. He was very upset that he couldn't earn enough money to support his family, so he spent time improving his painting skills and began to sell his paintings. He discovered that he could earn some money while doing something he really enjoyed. We're lucky now to have so many paintings of American birds by John Audubon.
