1. One day when Tom was walking down the street, he saw a lady with several little dogs following her.

6. Just when he was going to ask the lady about the slow dog, she went into a pet shop.

8. Tom went into the shop and found that the lady was the owner of the shop.
9. He asked her what was wrong with the slow dog.
10. The lady explained that the poor dog was born like that.
11. It could not walk as fast as the other dogs.
12. Tom asked to have a look at the dog again and then said he wanted to buy it.
13. The lady thought Tom was very kind-hearted, so she said that he could have the dog for free.
14. Yet Tom insisted on paying for it.
15. His old grandpa couldn’t walk fast, so Tom believed that the slow dog would be the right companion for his grandpa.
