Go for it 七年级上 Unit 4 Where’s my schoolbag?
一.Teaching aims and demans:
1. Language knowledge:
To master the new words table, bed, bookcase, sofa, chair, schoolbag, book, key.
To master the sentence ①Where is/are your …?
②It’s/They’re in…
③Is your book on your sofa?
④Are your books on your table?
To master the prepositions on, in, under.
2.Language skills:
Can ask the question where is/are ….and make a proper answer.
Can make a simple conversation to know where is your things.
Listening practice.
二.Teaching key points:
1.Master the name of furniture.
2.Can use Where questions and make proper answer.
3.Master the Prepositions on in under and use them correctly.

1.know the position of place and use on in under correctly.

Using the Role Playing, and guessing to finish the task activities of Pair work and Group work.

PPT ,Tape record and Blackboard.
六.Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Warming Up
Revise a backpack by asking question.
What are these? "they are……"
设计说明:这是一个热身活动,既复习上单元所学习单词,又帮助学生尽快进入学习状态。
Step 2: Presentation
T:Now Mr. Xia have a new room, would like to have a look? Show Ss a picture of a living room with many things in it, and ask them to talk about the picture. This is my living room. Is it beautiful? Do you like it? What can you see?
Present the sentence “What can you see? I can see….”
S1: I can see…
S2: I can see…
S3: …
Present the new words: table,, sofa, chair. Help the Ss to read the new words correctly. Ask the students to read after the T.
Then show a picture of a bedroom.
T: This is my bedroom. What can you see?
S1: I can see…
S2: I can see…
S3: …
Present new woeds: bookcase, bed, desk. Ask the Ss to read after the T.
设计说明: 展示一张摆有各种物品的房间图,让学生争相回答看到的东西。这样既复习了以往学过的单词,又呈现了本课的生词。
Step 3: Practice
1. Memory challenge.
Show Ss pictures with different objects in them quickly, and ask them toremember as many as possibile.
Present the answer. Ask Ss to read it one by one or chose someone to read.
设计说明:让学生快速观看物品,在愉快的气氛中轻松地巩固新单词,增加了趣味性,又活跃了课堂的气氛。
2. Match the words with the things in the picture. (Section A 1a)
设计说明:在学生已经很好地掌握新单词的基础上,较快完成1a 和1b;再安排一个模仿朗读,目的在于培养学生正确的语音语调。
Step 4: Presentation
1. Present a picture of the preposition on with baseball and box. Present the sentence “where is baseball?/It’s on the box..Ask Ss to read the sentence after T.
2. Present a picture of the preposition under with baseball and box. present the sentence “where is baseball?/It’s under the box. Ask Ss to read the sentence after T.
3. Present a picture of the preposition in with same things……
设计说明:通过图片中物品的位置关系,形象直观地让学生了解介词on,under,in 的意思,以及通过例子,让学生了解Where句型的提问和回答,并学会和区分如何使用on, under, in。
Step 5: practice.
1. Show three pictures that Tom is in/on/under the box.
T: where is Tom.?
S1:It’s on the box.
T: where is Tom?
S2:It’s under the box.
T: where is Tom?
S3:It’s in the box.
2. show pictures. Ask the Ss to do the pairwork.
S1: where is baseball?
S2: It’s on the table.
S3: where is schoolbag?
S4: It’s under the desk.

设计说明:巩固刚刚所学到的句型以及介词的用法。帮助学生尽快掌握介词和句型。
Step 6:present
Show some pictures.
T: What are they?
S1: they are dictionaries.
T: Where’re the books?
S2: they are on sofa.
T: what are they?
S3: they are keys.
T: where are they?
S4: they are on the bed.
设计说明:物品以复数的形式出现,目的在于让学生学会物品出现复数形式,该如何提问以及回答。
Step 7: practice
Then change some pictures.
S-S one ask and another answer. “where is…/It’s on/under/in…” Where’re… /they’re on/in/under…”
S1:where are books?
S2: they are in the bookcase.
S3: where is school?
S4: It’s under the table.
Step 8: pairwork
Show a picture. There are many things like books, schoolbag etc on, under or in the desk.
Give Ss 1min to make a dialogue with Where is/are question.
Take 2 pairs to show their dialogues in the class.
设计说明:这个环节目的在于给学生一个语言应用的环境,训练学生对句型以及介词的使用,帮助学生尽快掌握介词和句型。
Setp 9: Guessing Game.
Show 2 pictures which are covered and let Ss to gusee.
Where are the books?

Where are the dictionaries?

设计说明:通过游戏的方式,让学生巩固Where are 句型以及如何回答。
Step 10: Listening
Listen and number the things you hear.(Section A 1b)
Listen and number the things (SectionA 2a)
Listen again. Find the things from 2a and number them (2b)
Ask Ss to listen to the tape again, read after it, and try to imitate it
设计说明:训练学生的听力,要求学生模仿语音语调,加强学生的口语能力。
Step 10: Game: Find the Differences.
Show two different pictures. Ask the students to answer what is different.
In picture 1, the schoolbag is on the sofa..
In picture 2, the schoolbag is in the bookcase.
S1: In picture 1, the computer game is on the table..
S2: In picture 2, the computer game is under the chair.
….
Step 11: pairwork.
Show a picture with many things. Ask one S to ask and another answer, then change the roles.
