虚拟语气Subjunctive mood
Definition（定义）：用来表示说的话不是事实，或者是不可能发生的情况或很难实现的主观愿望，或建议，假设的语气叫虚拟语气。虚拟语气主要用于：
1. 在 if引导的虚拟条件状语从句
注1)：错综时间/混合 条件句:
If he had listened to me, he would not be in such trouble. 要是他当时听我的, 现在就不会有如此的麻烦了.
较多见的错综时间条件句是从句用过去完成时(指过去行为), 而主句用一般时(指目前状态)。
注2)：含蓄虚拟 条件句:
without(如果)没有, but for（要不是，倘没有）; 或otherwise, or (否则) 表示某种假设
eg. Without your help, I wouldn’t have succeeded. =
= But for your help, …
= If it had not been for your help, … （过去）
= Had it not been for your help, …
要不是暴风雨，我们应该早就到了。
But for the storm, we should have arrived earlier.
(如果) 没有阳光，就没有森林。
Without sunlight there would be no forests.= =If it were not for…= Were it not for… (现在)
2. wish 后的宾语从句 现在: 过去时 (be动词用were)
将来: would/could/might do
过去: 过去完成时(had done)
3. as if/though +从句 现在：过去时
将来：would/ could/ might do
过去：过去完成时
4. if only + 句子! 现在: 过去时
将来：would/could/might do)
过去: 过去完成时
5. would rather +句子 现在/将来: 过去时
过去: 过去完成时
6.“建议,要求,命令;坚决主张/要求” +名词性从句 （should） + 动词原形
7. It is important/natural/proper/necessary/strange/a pity/ possible + that 从句 (主语从句) （should）+ 动词原形,
8. It is (about/high) time that + 句子：过去时(were)
should(不省) +V.
