Understanding of the teaching material
The theme of this unit is First aid, which introduces three degrees and treatments of burns. By learning this unit, students will learn how to deal with burns and some tips for first aid, so as to raise students’ awareness of realizing safety and the importance of giving first aid.
The analysis of the students
Senior high students have their own opinions and attitudes. They're not content with the limited knowledge obtained from the textbooks. Their abstract thinking and cognitive capability have developed a lot. So the teacher has to help them keep up their passion, develop the feeling of success and build up good values.
Teaching aims
By the end of this class period, students will be able to master some key words and expressions. train their ability of summarizing and getting detailed information. train their ability of listening, reading and speaking. learn some tips of the treatments of burns.
