Step 1 Warming-up
1. Greeting
Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you. .
(设计思路:简单亲切的问候可以帮助学生迅速的进入英语学习的状态)
2.Listen and chant :
What time is it It’s one o’clock. What’s Mary doing She’s playing volleyball. Wow! Wow! She’s really good.
What time is it It’s four o’clock. What’s Mary doing She’s playing basketball. Wow! Wow! She’s really good.
(设计思路:学生们在老师的带领下,一边拍手和课桌打节拍,一边大声朗读韵律诗,营造了轻松愉快的教学气氛,并运用韵律诗巩固回忆重点句型。)
Step 2 Presentation
1. Lead in and review the words.
Our school Sports Day is coming. Here are some sports we like .What is this It’s badminton. What is this It’s tennis. And so on. I like playing ……. I also like playing …... Can you use your body language and express: I like playing ……in your group.
(设计思路:设计学校要开运动会的情景,教师做动作展示自己喜欢的体育运动,学生们猜并说出句子You like playing…… 通过复习句型What do you like I like playing …..为复习What’s …doing He\She is …. 句型打下了基础。之后进行小组活动,一个同学做动作其他组员说句子。根据孩子们活泼好动且善与他人合作的个性,加强对句型的操练。)
2. Review the sentence: What time is it It’s ….o’clock. And play games.
(1)T: Do you know when our Sports Day begin or end What time is it
S: It’s eight o’clock.
T: Yes, our Sports Day will begin at eight o’clock. What time is it
S: It’s eleven forty- five.
T: Yes, at eleven forty- five will have a rest . What time is it
S: It’s two o’clock.
T: Our sports day will continue at two o’clock. What time is it
S: It’s four fifteen.
T: Our Sports Day will be end at four fifteen.
(2) Let’s play a game .Wolf! Wolf! What time is it It’s twelve o’clock.
(设计思路:通过对本学校运动会开始和结束时间的提问引出句型What time is it It’s ….. 并通过孩子们非常喜爱的Wolf! Wolf! What time is it It’s twelve o’clock. 游戏环节反复操练句型。此项活动气氛活跃,激发了学生的兴趣,营造了轻松活泼的气氛。)
3. Review the sentence: What’s…doing He\She is......
(1).T: Look at this clock. What time is it
S: It’s nine o’clock.
T: This is my friend Kate. What’ Kate doing
S: She’s playing football.
T: This is a watch. What time is it
S: It is twelve o’clock.
T: This is my friend Candy. What’s Candy doing
S: She’s playing volleyball.
(2)Do you remember our Quanhai Primary School Sports Day This picture is our school the ninth Sports Day. This is our principal Mr. Wang. There is a boy .He is doing the long jump. And there are some boys. They are running.
(设计思路:通过介绍朋友正在做什么引出句型What is ….doing She\He is …... PPT展示我们全海小学运动会的图片并介绍孩子们正在做什么。同学们看到自己学校的照片和同学都很开心,并把句型应用到了实际生活。)
4.Practice
This is our Sports Day schedule. Can you according to this schedule to finish this task .Choose the correct picture and stick the correct place. Then group leader will check the answer.
(设计思路:根据学校的运动会时刻表,完成贴图的任务,孩子们需要查看时间和男生女生的比赛项目才能正确找到图片并完成任务,此项任务需要三个同学一起协商合作,让孩子们更加增强了小组合作意识,而且检验学生们对时间和做什么事情的句型是否掌握清楚。)
5.Sing a song
Let’s move our body .sing a song: Walking ,Walking.
(设计思路:学生们演唱歌曲并做动作已达到休息放松的目的,而且表现出孩子们对运动的重视。)
Step 3. Extension
1. Learn more sports.
T: There are some other sports may be you like. Which picture do you like best
S: I like picture 4.
T: What’s she doing
S: she’s playing swimming.
T: Now, please practice in your group.
(设计思路:PPT课件出示一些超出课本以外的体育运动项目,拓展学生的视野,锻炼学生的发散思维。)
2. Learn about universiade.
T: This is the National Flag of China. What happened on August 8th last year in Shenzhen
S: Yes, the universiade. Now please watch the screen
T: This is the emblem. Like smile. This is the mascot , What is this
S: It’s UU.
T: We can also see many volunteers. Who join the volunteer please put up your hands. You did a good job. This is the Chinese team. What is this
S: It’s U station.
T: We can see U station everywhere in Shenzhen. And this is the stadium in Shenzhen.
(设计思路:通过复习体育活动单词以及我们现实生活的运动会,联系到了去年在深圳举行的世界大学生运动会,并播放了大运宣传片,使学生们更深切的体育运动精神,让孩子们产生感情上的共鸣。)
3.Learn more athletes.
T: There are some famous athletes. Let’s have a look.

S: Yaoming .
T: Yes, and who is she
S: she is Wangnan.
T: The others
S: Lina, Lindan and Beckham .
T: Can you talk about:“What time is it And what are they doing ”with your friends
S: Yes!
(设计思路:介绍一些在运动项目比较出名的运动员,并设写出时间,进行本课重点句型操练,由于孩子们对于这些运动员比较感兴趣,所以在小组活动中能更好的让孩子们开口说英语,热情谈论。)
Step 4. Test
After we review, please write this test. Choose the correct answer and then fill in the blanks.
(设计思路:通过用练习题的形式来检查学生对于本课重点单词以及句型的掌握情况,检测学生的书写情况。)
Step 5. Phonics Box
Let’s listen the chant and review the phonics: ug, un, ut .
Practice : b-ug→bug m-ug→mug.
r-un→run s-un→sun
h-ut→hut n-ut→nut
(设计思路:播放phonics chant 歌曲,学习ug, un, ut 的发音,学生们跟着节奏拍手跟读。课件播放字母组合的发音规律图,再次强化学生们对发音规律的掌握。)

1. Surf the internet to find out other sports.
2. Practice the sentences: What time is it It’s…o’clock. What’s…doing He\She is…..with your friends. )
