教材分析 本课是小学新标准英语一年级起点五年级上册第三模块第一单元。本课的教学内容是Amy 和Sam 向Lingling 介绍万圣节前夕（Halloween）。他们告诉Lingling，在英国这是一个秋天的节日。晚上孩子们会穿上吓人的衣服，戴上可怕的面具，到邻居家索要糖果。本课时重点是了解和介绍西方的节日。以此来培养学生的语言运用能力，以激发学生的学习兴趣为主，从学生的生活经验和认知水平出发，来逐步提高学生运用英语的能力并形成良好的学习英语的习惯。
学情分析 学生进入到五年级，在英语语言积累方面已经有一些基础，能够理解课文中的语句。这个年纪的学生对于新鲜事物充满着好奇和兴趣，为本文的学习奠定了良好的基础。但是由于中西方文化的差异，对于万圣节了解不多，所以对文章深层内容的理解不到位，需要老师引导。
教学目标 知识目标 认读新词： Halloween, trick or treat, festival, scary, neighbour. 2. 理解并掌握句子： ⑴ It’s an autumn festival in the UK. ⑵Children wear scary clothes.⑶ They go to their neighbours’ houses.
能力目标 能用所学单词和句型简单描述西方节日—万圣节前夕。

课前活动/热身（2分钟） Enjoy and sing an English song “Trick or Treat ”. 英语歌曲活跃气氛，帮助学生进入学习状态，感受万圣节前夜的气氛。
导入（8分钟） T: What festival is this song about Ss: Halloween.(教师讲授单词Halloween）T: Please take out your preview paper.I believe you found something about Halloween. Who wants to share with us (教师在课程前一天，发放预习单，指导学生查找有关万圣节前夜的知识。) T：You did a great job and knew so much about Halloween. Today, We’re going to learn more about Halloween. Look at the picture of Part 1. What are these children doing Ss:… T: What did they say Ss:T: Let’s listen and say. Ss:T: Look! I’ve got a mask. Now I’m going to ask for sweets. (教师带着准备好的面具，到学生中间要糖果。)T: Look! I’ve got some sweets. Who wants to come here to ask for sweets Come with your hats and masks!(鼓励学生带着做好的面具和帽子到教师这要糖果，练习第一部分，感受节日气氛。) 学生通过课前查资料，完成任务单， 了解万圣节前夕，即为课堂学习做准备，又培养了搜集资料，整理资料的能力。通过情景表演，感受节日氛围，活用知识。
任务呈现（1分钟） T: Today, we are going to learn more about Halloween. And at the end of this lesson, let’s introduce Halloween in groups. (教师告诉学生:“今天我们来学习西方一个有趣的节日——万圣节前夕。通过学习，我们可以知道西方的小朋友是怎样过这个节日的。学习后，请大家分小组完成任务，讨论并向大家介绍万圣节前夕的传统习俗。现在我们先来学习课文吧。”) 教师呈现学习任务，使学生学习有的放矢。
课文学习（15分钟） T: Amy and her friends are talking about Halloween. Let’s watch the cartoon together and find when is Halloween.Ss: Halloween is an autumn festival.T: (教师板书autumn festival，并讲解festival.)T: I have another two questions.(教师在幻灯片上出示两个问题：What do children wear at Halloween Where do children go at Halloween ) Let’s listen, read and find the answers.T: What do children wear at Halloween Ss: Children wear scary clothes.T: (幻灯片出示第一题答案，教师板书Children wear scary clothes, 并讲解scary. 教师在幻灯片上出示万圣节前夕衣服，帽子，面具的图片，让学生感受节日氛围。)T: Where do children go at Halloween ) Ss : They go to their neighbours’ houses.T: (幻灯片出示第一题答案，教师板书 They go to their neighbours’ houses， 并讲解neighbour.Let’s listen and read sentence by sentence.T: (教师在学生跟读过程中，注重单词发音和句子语调。发音较难的句子，指导学生重点跟读。） 课文讲解部分通过回答关于万圣节的三个问题：when, what, where， 帮助学生进一步了解西方万圣节的习俗同时理解，掌握关键句。
训练巩固/任务完成（12分钟） 1. Act outT: let’s have a group work, read and try to act the dialogue out。(教师指导学生先个人朗读，再小组合作表演对话，鼓励学生用道具，活跃气氛， ppt出示小组合作规范。）Summary, fill in the blanks and read. T: Let’s look at the blackboard and talk about Halloween. (教师指导学生根据板书内容整理万圣节相关内容。） T: Finish exercises of Part 6 on the exercise book. (学生填空，教师强调单词的正确拼写和书写规范。） T： Who can show your answer and read （教师请一名同学，通过投影机投视答案，并朗读） 学生通过自读，小组合作朗读、表演对话，运用语言，感受万圣节氛围。教师引导学生总结关键句，完成填空练习，学生帮助学生完成本课学习任务。
