As for attributive clause, the students are very familiar with it. They have learned it in senior one. However, when using it in the context, they could not use it correctly, let alone the distinguishing between the relative pronoun and relative adverb. Some students could not identify the subject , object and adverbial in the sentences. So, it is difficult for them to judge and choose the right relative pronoun and relative adverb. Besides, they are not familiar with the attributive clause points in the college entrance examination.

Step l: lead-in Check students` previsions about the grammar。 Do some previsions about the attributive clause. Help them to review the definition, function, the relative words and the kinds of the attributive clause.
Step 2: Review the use of relative words The boys who are playing football are from Class One. Mr Liu is the person ( whom ) you talked about on the bus. The factory which makes computers is far away from here. The season that / which comes after spring is summer. I visited a scientist whose name is known all over the country. I still remember the day when I first came to this school. Shanghai is the city where I was born. The reason why he was punished is unknown to us. Analyze the sentences (antecedent and parts of sentences) and summarize the rules of those relative words. Who , whom, that, which, whose, when, why, where Lead them to review the rules of using relative words.
Step 3: preposition+relative pronoun He loves his parents deeply, both of whom are very kind to him.
In the basket there are quite many apples, some of which have gone bad. whom(people) Preposition + Which(thing) Analyze the sentences (antecedent ) and summarize the rules of choosing the correct relative pronoun in the structure of preposition+relative pronoun Lead them to review the rules of relative pronoun in the structure of preposition+relative pronoun
Step 4: Link the college entrance examination Show some examples taken from the college entrance examination, and lead them to know the test points.
