Dear friends,
Our school produces a lot of rubbish every day, such as leftover food, waste paper and plastic bottles, which brings a wide range of environmental problems as well as the waste of resources. Therefore,it's time we took immediate action to change the situation.
First of all, it is necessary for us to raise awareness of environmental protection and develop the good habit of garbage sorting. What's more,we should voluntarily differentiate recyclable rubbish from non-recyclables in our daily life.
In a word, if everyone does his/her bit for garbage sorting, our school will become better and better.

In July1954, Richard Baker, who died at the age of 93,becamethe first announcer to introduce a news bulletin(新闻简报)on BBC television. His debut(初次亮相)was limited and unseen. But the start-up of ITV the following year prompted the BBC to put aside any fears that seeing facial expressions might be distracting for viewers, and make their newsreaders visible.
Baker's first newsflash outside a scheduled bulletin came in October 1955, when Princess Margaret declared the break-up of the relationship with Peter Townsend, and from 1957 he was joined by Robert Dougall as the regular faces of BBC TV news.
Baker had started with the corporation in 1950, first as a studio manager and then an announcer on the Third Programme, now Radio 3,and returned to his love for classical music ,introducing concerts from the Royal Albert Hall (1960 -1995), and presenting programmes with enthusiasm on Radio 2, including Friday Night Is Music Night (1998-2005). By the late 1960s he had become the nearest one the BBC had found to a successor for Richard Dimble by as a presenter for outside broadcasts of great occasions.
His calmness under pressure - thinking quickly on his feet without betraying the fact-served him well in broadcasting. He liked to give the impression that he was rather a muddler(糊涂的人)who could forget where he should be at any given moment, but in reality he was in completely control.
He was declared TV newsreader of the year three times in the 1970s,and won a Sony Gold award for lifetime achievement in radio. As a member of the Broadcasting Standards Council ,he did much to lessen complaints against his industry.

Aquaculture-or sea farming-is one of the brightest hopes for finding an answer to the problem of the world's food shortages. Although it may be years before sea farming produces large quantities of food, it is already partially successful. One of its successes is the growing of oyster(牡蛎)。
Oyster farming is a big new business on Cape Cod, where large crops of oysters have been harvested. The waters there were famous for delicious oysters until the supply gave out about fifteen years ago. "There's a whole generation of people who have never eaten oysters, " said Karl Touraine, marketing director of Aqua Dynamics, a company that grows oysters on nylon strings(尼龙绳)hanging from metal frames."For about twenty years the oyster has been in short supply, and our aim is to change this by using new, modern growing techniques. "
Wareham, on Cape Cod, is the first place in the US where oysters are being grown on frames just off the bottom of the sea, " said Hank McAvoy of the Marine Fisheries Service"But there's nothing new about off-bottom raising, " Mr. McAvoy added. It`s been done successfully in Nor way in the last few years, in Spain. The Japanese have used this form of sea farming for years, and they're the most successful, with a yearly crop ofmorethan46, 000 pounds of shelled oysters an acre."
The Aqua Dynamics Group grows oysters on strings, away from the bottom so that oysters' natural enemies cannot reach them."When an oyster avoids enemies and lives in unpolluted water with plenty to eat, it'll grow fast. "Karl Touraine explained. "Oysters will attach themselves to almost anything they can, "he continued."At Wareham, we use shells which we tie with nylon strings hanging from metal frames. We lower the strings into the water, leaving at least a foot of water between the lowest shell and the bottom. ""So far the growth has been excellent and the taste is just delightful, "Mr. Touraine noted happily.

US researchers have released(友布)a new study showing that keeping a straight back can help you get ahead of interview.
Professors claimed the researchers could be vital to people jobs in a tough market."With1.9million new jobs this year, out research suggests that your pressure maybe quite the way to let you run ahead of other applicants in a job interview. Standing straight is going to make you perform probably better in the interview because you'll say things with more confidence. It will also allow a person to think and act more powerfully. "said Galinsky.
In the paper Powerful Posture Versus Powerful Roles, Mr. Galinsky described positions that help us feel more in charge as "expansive postures" that open up the body and take up more space. They include sitting with legs slightly apart or with an arm over the back of a chair. As they are not always appropriate for an interview, Mr. Galinsky suggests sitting upright, expanding your chest and holding your arms in a relaxed and comfortable position.
The experiment studied a group of 77 students who were asked questions while sitting with different positions. Some were told they were bosses and other splayed underlings. The people who sat with an expansive posture answered questions in a way that suggested they were more powerful. By comparison, the answers from those who sat hunched(缩头弓身的) appeared to suggest they had lower self-esteem. What surprised the researchers was that the results were irrelevant(不相干的)to whether the participant held a higher rank. Those who sat in expansive postures chose to lead more often than those who sat hunched.
12. What's the second paragraph mainly about
A. The methods of finding a job. B. The importance of the research.
C. The advantages of standing straight. D. The present situation of the job market.
13. The experiment suggests that

D. people who sat hunched are more powerful
14. What's the main purpose of the passage
A. To advise people to pay attention to their postures.
B. To introduce the content of Mr. Galinsky's paper.
C. To discuss the relations between postures and roles.
D. To provide information on "expansive postures".
15. Which of the following words can replace the underlined word in the last paragraph
